Meaning… not making hope a squirrel/chipmunk/duck, yoongi a cat, jungkook a bunny, etc…
Kim Namjoon: The gaur. Native to South and Southeast Asia, the gaur is the largest extant bovine in the world. It is a big, beefy giant that likes to walk around in nature, not unlike Namjoon.
Kim Seokjin: The lar gibbon. A goofy primate that like to hang out, the lar gibbon is also native to Southeast Asia and is endangered. Like Seokjin, it can put out some real high notes.
Min Yoongi: The sloth. This is the closest an animal can get to being a rock, Yoongi's ideal next life. The word for sloth in many languages translates to laziness, and Yoongi one said, "When I'm standing up, I want to sit down. When I'm sitting down, I want to lie down."
Jung Hoseok: The octopus. Without a bone in its body, the octopus is very flexible and can squeeze through anything bigger than its beak. The way it moves is reminiscent of dancing. Octopuses also have excellent fashion, or the ability to change their skin's pigment and texture.
Park Jimin: The chinchilla. Of the rodent order, the chinchilla is just a warm, soft little guy. Its fur is the densest of any mammal that lives on land. Also, it is very cute, much like Jimin.
Kim Taehyung: The bottlenose dolphin. Playful and energetic, the bottlenose dolphin is capable of forming close bonds with friends and family. Male dolphins form groups and support each other, which reminds me of how Tae plans to be in this Bangtan shit for life.
Jeon Jungkook: The cuckoo bird. Female cuckoos remove an egg from a reed warbler nest and replace it with one of their own. The reed warbler parents, unaware of the switch, raise the cuckoo chick as their own, which grows to be much larger than themselves. If Jungkook is not the large, adopted, goth baby of BTS, then I don't know what he is.
