Pt 1. Music production Interview with Dion AKA kit_kforce
Music productions are moving into the future, I produce new music I cannot be held back by certain established rules, making up new production techniques is important.
The instrumental "Hard Track Reaper" please explain the steps you went through to produce this interesting composition @nightmareonTLs
Hard Track Reaper - is a "Acid Sound" with 808 beats and quick hi hats. Its labeled "Acid" because of the style of Synthesizer used which gives it the acid sound. The Arpeggio lead synth line is made with a certain synthesizer ( we won't name).
Creating the beat- kit kforce: I found the certain 808's and drum patterns I like to work with, I programmed the kicks, snare, clap and percussive noises, then re-sampled the drum patterns into an Audio file. I reconstructed the 808 patterns in a new sequence within a Cubase project. I slowed the beat down to 76 bpms, I added some quicker bass kicks on the 32nd notes within the sequence to give it the trap esque feel. I added the snare patterns and hi hat patterns into the sequence and formed the first part of the loop and structure of the track intro.
Synthesizer pattern - kit kforce : I made the synth line with an arpeggio sequencer and an old roland synthesizer ( Re-Sampled into cubase). Using this file i matched the tempos and added the new synth line into the production track. Completing the intro and beginning verses of the track.
I added certain elements to give the track a drop and club influence, I also added church bell hits during the first drop into the verse. I kept the track simple and just let the arpeggio lines speak through the beat.
