I think that the show and book make the full canon together. dismissing the show as not being canon whatsoever is just silly when there were obviously some changes that directly answer things from the books, and just things changed in retrospect that make more sense. I'm not saying everything from the show is canon but I think some of it definitely is, and when you put together the canon of the show and the book it makes the ultimate asoue imo.
