I love when people play with the idea of Ilya finally getting unconditional motherly love again through Yuna. I LOVE IT!

But David gives Ilya a dad for the first time. Not just a father. Not just a man of the house. He has a DAD.

I'm sure their relationship is a little awkward at first, but David actually wants to talk about cars with Ilya. They stand in Ilya's garage, both in that dad stance, feet shoulder width apart, arms cross or hands on hips, talking and pointing and just being dudes.
