That’s adorable lkasjdfljasdflj I just like repeat everything I think is funny or if something’s said in a different tone than normal I repeat it in that tone like “THIS TONE I LIKE IT! ANOTHER!” XD

i mostly echo song lyrics but i also pick up a lot of random phrases such as 'he might have genital demons' omg

i remember really clearly the moment i realized that not everyone experiences echolalia

that is to say - i don’t remember who it was i asked about having phrases stuck in my head, or where we were, or what brought it up. but i remember quite distinctly the feeling i got when whoever i was talking to looked at me strangely and said no, they’d never had just a random word or phrase stuck in their head.

back then i didn’t know anything about autism and i’d never heard of echolalia so i didn’t have the vocabulary to describe it at all.

it’s one of the few fridge horror moments from my past that actually seem horrible to me, though i’m not sure why that particular moment is so awful. i think it’s the way they looked at me, like i was crazy. i don’t remember who it was but i remember they looked at me like i was out of my fucking mind.

OH THAT’S SO CLEVER ALSDJKFALSJKDF Niqi and I just call my echo’s copies. XD Like if I repeat her she’ll just look at me and be like “you’re so cute when you copy” XD

i think one of the first things rose noticed about me when we met was that if i started to get upset i would just quote song lyrics and she said it was like how parrots just repeat words back so she calls it parroting :D

It was cold when they stepped onto the street, and Kimmi Jean whimpered, wrapping her coat around herself against the wind. Roseanne laughed and adjusted her scarf, her shoulders hunching. “Little chilly, huh?” she joked, grinning.

Kimmi glowered in her general direction, but she still shuffled closer for warmth. “Lot chilly,” she muttered, shoving her hands into her pockets.

“Come on,” Rose said, hurrying ahead to where her car was parked just down the street. “The sooner we get to Firelight the sooner we’ll be warm again.”
