Leaving tumblr
As everyone is sharing their opinions on the upcoming “better, positive tumblr” I might as well join in and share mine: The new guidelines are a ridiculous overreaction to a problem that could have been solved by aggressively removing all the bot porn blogs, and and strongly enforcing the child pornography laws that already exist.
The ban on adult content is overly prude and destructive to the NSFW community that is the backbone of this site. Many of whom have used this platform because it made them feel safe when it came to exploring their identity and sexuality.
Personally, if I decided to stay, the blog would not be the same. So it seems pointless to continue reblogging images of cute kitties, knowing that the titties are equally important to me and my followers, have now been banned from the site and reblogging them most certainly will lead to blog termination for guidelines violation.
I will miss the site. I will miss the personal connections I have made throughout the years. I will cherish the memories I will be taking with me.
For those who shared their stories, personal information and entrusted me with their own pictures, rest assured that the trust you deposited in me will not be broken.
Because of this place, I made friends all over the world. People who made a positive impact in my life. You know who you are.
@staff: shame on you!
And for those who used the platform to spread hate and personal attacks, I hope they get to a point where they no longer feel the need to do so.
I thank you all for the moments, for the laughs and for the lessons. I wish you all the best.
Goodbye.
