There was a soft nod of her head, at Orochimaru asking if the cupcake was for him.

“I already made my wish, it’s the same one I make every year.” Her eyes would slowly look at the ground. It hadn’t come true yet but she was the young and foolish one to believe in those. It took more than birthday wishes to get her brother healthy again. Tayuya and Sakon always ragged on her wish, it was stupid and childish. Of course it was, she was still younger than them and was told to ignore their words.

Though the one who told her to ignore their words was her brother. To her, he knew better than the others in the room. Unfortunately he was just entertaining the idea that he may someday get better.

“Maybe the wish will get Kabuto one step closer to a cure?” There was curiosity and wonder in her voice, hoping it would work out in the end.

“We both have interest in Kimimaro’s health,” he said with little to no sympathy behind the words. “Kabuto will find whatever information is needed for our boy here then he’ll be off and well. I’m sure.”

There’s no one else in the hideout hastening to seek a cure for Kimimaro more than Orochimaru was. He could feel his skin becoming loose from the muscle. He was needing a replacement body much sooner than later. If anything, it was frustrating that there seems to be nothing to be done for the boy.

“You’d do better keeping your mind off of it.”
