🌊 ~ Meet the Isia! ~ 🌿

✦  A semi-aquatic species hailing from the Islands of Idylla, which is a tropical archipelago located near the equatorial belt. Known for its variety of vibrant plants and animals/creatures, which includes the Isia!

✦  The Isia are a people of many wonderful colors, but are usually cooler tones to blend in with their environment.

✦  Also, yes, the Isia do have hair. It isn't depicted here to avoid cluttering the reference, but it is very similar to human hair in terms of length/appearance. However, their hair is much finer/softer than ours and can become brittle or break if it becomes too dry.

✦  While this reference has become slightly outdated, the majority of the information/illustrations here are still accurate, so I hope you enjoyed my silly little ramblings! <3

Welcome to the world of Iro’Saya! :D

This has been a passion project of mine for a while now, and although I am by no means an expert in the speculative field, I've quite enjoyed crafting the unique fauna/flora that live here :) So look forward to a bunch of posts exploring the worldbuilding, biology/creatures, and people that call Iro'Saya home <3

Also, the colored symbols in the top-left corner are (generally) how each sophont would write Iro'Saya (or their language's equivalent). Each symbol's color corresponds to the respective sophont. Again, I don't consider myself to be particularly good at conlangs, but they are a fun bit of worldbuilding to explore! :]
