Austin screamed loudly. He hated thunderstorms. “NO!” He didn’t know what to do. This wasn’t fair. And now the lights were out? Darkness scared him, far more than he intended. As he continued to scream, he hoped he would be able to find someone. Crawling on the ground, he felt around for whoever was there. “Is anyone there? I hate the dark! Help me!”
Kat was lucky because she had been reading a book in bed with a couple candles lit when the power went out. She would have been content to keep reading, passing off the power outage as an effect of the storm until she heard someone screaming for help. The blonde quickly stood up, wrapping her blanket scarf around her shoulders and picking up a candle, putting her hand in front of the flame so it wouldn't go out as she walked - but also shoving a lighter in her pocket just in case. She'd made it to the end of the hall when she saw Austin on the ground. "Hey hey hey, it's alright. It's not that bad." Kat spoke, trying to be comforting even though her tone was all wrong. "Here, I have some candles lit back in my room if you want to come grab one?"
