But Spongebob is a sponge, I’m a human; I can’t do the things that sponges can do. I know, it’s kind of a dead job most of the time because it requires a lot of effort and dedication, which is probably why people don’t reach out towards science, I guess. Are you kidding me? I think using the word hip is a great way to sound hip and cool. What do the kids call it then? Swag? Oh, did something not good happen to you? Why do bad things always happen to good people, huh? I understand where you’re coming from, dear, a new start was definitely a good choice for you both. Not just hobbits and middle earth, we’ll play pirates and build a castle and go swimming with the mermaids.

He's a sea sponge, let's be specific here. And for a guy who believes in imagination, you sure are selling yourself short. Yes but without science, where would we be? We need men like you in this world to do the things others won't and work hard to discover the things others don't believe possible. Umm, I suppose swag is popular but I think it's better to just show than tell. Yeah... something like that. And how do you know I'm a good person? Maybe I'm just a very good actor. But yeah, I just want my son to have a nice life so here we are. So now are you trying to convince me Neverland is real as well, is that what is happening here?

That’d be lovely, actually! The more monkey bread makers, the better. I do! I adore every minute of it. You should stop by sometime! For Heaven’s Cake, just off Tucker Street.

Yes, I shall definitely do that. Both my son and I have a super sweet tooth so we're always looking for the next best cupcake or pastry. We like to stop by every Sunday morning for a treat at local bakeries so that is going to have to be our next stop.

Hmm.. have you tried to retrace your steps? Visit everywhere you went? That's happened to me a few times and when I went back to look for what I lost, someone usually turned it into the store's lost and found.

Well, first I need to have the equipment and chemicals, and I can’t smuggle them out of my lab without being caught, so I’m hopeless. I’m a cancer researcher, and yes, we do need imaginations, we need to think of the most bizzare things and then we have to put it to action, to see if it works or not. How do you think we found out about the universe, dear? We didn’t just look up the sky and take it for what it is, we think deeper and deeper into the subject. It just keeps us young and hip. I understand, home will always be home no matter what, so what made you come to Cromer, if I can ask. With a four year old son on your hands, I don’t blame you for always staying in, your children come first despite everything, right? You don’t have to do it all on your own, if you want some help with him, I’m always here, I’m sure your son and I will get along, hopefully. Being a single parent must be taking its toll on you, you deserve some time for yourself.

Oh, well that would be cheating! Anyone can do it with a bit of assistance but Sponegbob was able to do it naturally. All with just the strength of imagination. Oh wow, sounds like an interesting job. It's nice to know there are still people out there looking to try and find proper help and solutions to resolve what ails others. I can see what you mean though, that does make a lot of sense. Then again, I think using the word hip actually doesn't make you hip. Or at least that's probably something my son would say. Yes, it'll always be home but is it a place I actually want to call home again one day? I'm not quite sure yet. Really, I just wanted a new start for myself and my son. We didn't really have much in Denmark and I wanted to give him a good life so I moved out here.Yes, he's really all I have so I tend to focus so much of my time on him. And thank you, that is a very kind offer. It's not something I get everyday so I'll definitely keep it in consideration. I'm sure the two of you could have a fun time talking of hobbits and middle earth.

Eh, would ya? I mean, t’at would be great if you’re truly up t’ it, as long as you know I won’t bring any harm t’ your book, I swear on me dog. It’s mostly poetry t’at interests me, but I do like t’ other stuff as well every not an’ again. Ah, no, you’re right t’ere! ‘m from Ireland originally, but I’ve been here about… five years now? A little over a year, t’ough, I see, and d’ya like ‘t here?

I don't mind in the least bit. It's nice for it to actually be read, since that what books are for, right? And don't worry, you don't seem like the type to be careless with a book so I trust you. Oh, well that's lovely. I do love poetry a lot myself but I also love a good dystopian tale. Oh, that's what I thought but I didn't want to assume and make a jerk out of myself for guessing wrong. Sometimes I still have a bit of difficulty separating the different dialects here. But five years, wow! That's quite a while. I take it you like living here then, to stay that long. Umm, it's different I will say, but I do like it. It's a welcomed change than what I'm used to.

Business Lunch ➢ Klara & Evelyn

Evelyn watched Charlie slide off the chair and walk over to the young child, placing his hand softly on Filip’s shoulder and leading him into the other room. She could hear him telling the other boy excitedly about the ship replica he’d acquired the day before, and it was a little peculiar just how well they seemed to get on so fast. Evelyn turned to face Klara once more, shaking her head with an amused grin. Her younger brother had seldom discussed anything other than the little boat since their trip to the carpenters the day prior, and despite the fact that she was pleased her brother had come to own the ship, Evelyn couldn’t help but feel relieved that there was now someone else to hear his constant gushing over it. “Charlie’s not shy either, as you can see. He’s really excited that Filip is here, finally someone that shares an interest in toys.” Evelyn said to Klara, laughing slightly before turning her attention to the dish in Klara’s hands.

“Oh, you brought something! Uh-” she turned to the table, moving the bowl of cookie dough Charlie had been attending to and placing it on the counter, “Just put there, that’ll be fine. It is hummus and flatbread? Because, if it is you read my mind, I think I was just telling my friend how much I’d been craving that today. I’m actually glad you brought it too, besides the fact that I had been craving it, because it’s much better than the Knäckerbröd I was thinking of buying,” Evelyn explained while reaching into one of the shelves for a few of the wine glasses she’d received as a gift from her grandfather. “You know, I actually don’t think there’s anything more to do? The salmon’s done, and the potatoes are nearly finished as well.” Evelyn turned back now, the glasses in hand as she set them on the table. “If you’d like to pour the wine while I get the potatoes?” She suggested, picking up the bottle-opener from behind her and handing it over to Klara. There was plenty of understanding there, in the notion of feeling odd as another person worked madly around you. Evelyn could recall countless times that she wished to help out in some small manner when going round for tea at another’s house, and it was for that familiar awkward feeling that she didn’t mind the brunette’s help.

“Were you able to find the house alright?” Evelyn started as she started placing the potatoes in a wooden bowl, the steam from them stirring the light breeze from the window. She placed it beside the salmon plate, bright pink on the plate surrounded by wedges of lemon alongside, with the flatbread Klara had made in the centre of it all. She almost reached for her phone to take a picture of how nice all the food looked together. “A few of my friends always complain about getting lost on the way, so I hope that it’s not that difficult to get to.” The blonde sat now, across from the other woman, and took a much-needed deep breath.  “Then again I do live here, so I suppose there is a bit of a bias there.”

Klara''s eyes shone with amusement and her lips pulled tightly into a grin as she watch the two boys trek off to see the ship that Charlie was excited about. She was both relieved and glad to know that the two of them had hit it off so well and seemed like she would not have to worry about Filip getting bored or restless. It was hard at times, when it was usually just the two of them to keep her son entertained. Luckily a few of her students were around his age and would play with him before and after their lessons, not to mention the neighbor had a daughter close to his age, but even then Klara sometimes feared that having no family besides herself would make the young boy feel lonely. That didn't seem to be the case in this instance, as he was quick to just leave her behind to go off with his new friend and she turned her attention back to her host.

"I'm happy to see they get along so well. Filip was so excited when I first told him about Charlie and having lunch together that he was practically bouncing the whole ride over." She shifted the platter in her hands once more before Evelyn designated a spot for her to place it down upon the table. Once the bowl was out of the way, Klara placed the platter down and fixed it into position before peeling the single layer of clear film that covered the top of it back. She tucked a lock of hair back behind her ear as she looked back up at Evelyn, nodding her head to the woman's question. A satisfied smile sweeping across her lips at the mention of the blonde having been craving it. She was really glad now in her choice. "Yeah, I just figured I needed to bring something because I couldn't let you just make an entire meal for my son and I and not provide anything myself in return. So I thought this was the best choice, you know something that sort of went with anything?" She shrug her shoulders slightly with a small chuckle as she watched the blonde retrieve two wine glasses and place them onto the table. At her suggestion, Klara happily agreed and took the bottle opener that was being handed to her.

"Yeah, I can do that." She reached over for the Wine bottle and began to uncork it as she continued to listen to Evelyn speak. Klara wasn't the strongest person around but with a bit of force she was able to pop the cork right off. She reached for one glass, filling it a third of the way full before moving to do the same with the other. Though her eyes stayed focus on her task, she shook her head, still listening to the younger woman. "No, no. We didn't have any trouble at all." She said, looking up as she placed the bottle down and handed a glass over to Evelyn. "Then again, I always look everything up on several map websites to try to find the best route. Sort of a habit of mine but I don't like driver any longer than what is necessary, especially with a little one fidgeting in the back." She straighten herself and smiled brightly at Evelyn, "But actually, we don't live all that far off from one another so it was a pretty quick trip to your house." Klara had been thankful for that. She wasn't the biggest fan of driving. "Oh, and might I say what a lovely place you have here." She said, eyes sweeping across the interior of the house.

Ekelöf, eh? Haven’t read anythin’ by him, but I’ll certainly look int’ findin’ somethin’ by him. I’m always lookin’ for somethin’ new to read, anythin’ to offer a little peace a’ mind, ya know? Ah, yeah, that’ll certainly do ‘t, leavin’ t’ house I mean. Have you been in Cromer long?

Oh, I have a book of his at home. It's called Songs of Something Else. I could lend it to you, if you'd like. It's just collecting dust on my shelves anyways. Do you read anything else besides poetry or that your main attraction within the writing world? Oh, I haven't been here too long— umm.. a little over a year now. How about yourself? You don't very much sound like you're native to Cromer.

Yes, my mother was as well and she used to read them to me before I went to bed. Gunnar Ekelöf is also a favorite of mine but that might be for biased reasons. Well thank you, I can say the same for you. And I understand that feeling[ seems like I'm meeting more and more people everyday. Who knew that getting out of the house more often could turn out to be a good thing

Well, that can't be nearly as bad as almost finishing a whole one with one other person in a day... a half a person really whose stomach is much smaller than my own, and can only fill so much which means he hardly ate much to begin with... do you see where I'm going with this?
