Helmut Dähne at the Bol D'Or 1976...
BMW spent a fortune in wind tunnel testing for this fairing. It’s still one of the best covering, least drag or buffeting fairings you can own.
This image shows a custom BMW "Airhead" boxer motorcycle.
The bike is a modified classic BMW R-series (likely an R80 or R100) vintage model. It features distinct custom attributes:
Boxer Engine: The horizontal opposed twin-cylinder configuration sticking out the side.
Scrambler / Cafe Racer Aesthetic: Stripped-down subframe, aggressive knobby tires, and a streamlined retro fuel tank design.
Minimalist Setup: An open layout showcasing clean lines and vintage styling elements common in custom motorcycle builds.
The model in this photo is Spanish motorcycle rider and enthusiast Sonia Ordás, and the photographer is Stanislas "Stan" C., who operates under the creative studio name Atelier Stan.
• Model: Sonia Ordás (@soniaordas), a well-known figure and content creator in the European custom cafe racer and motorcycle community.
• Photographer: Atelier Stan (@atelier_stan), an automotive and fashion photographer specializing in gritty, vintage, and high-contrast motorcycle imagery.
