Spring may not have officially sprung yet, but nobody told the bees! I was out hanging washing and could hear the buzzing of hundreds of bees in the tree next door. If you've been following my art, you'll know I have a bit of a thing for trees! This tree always makes me nostalgic because it is the same species as the tree I used to climb in our backyard as a child. Love seeing the beginnings of spring!

We come from the stars. As Carl Sagan famously said, “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.” We return to the earth. When we die, our bodies become a part of the earth. But. It’s the time between that counts. It’s the time we spend alive – what we do with the time given to us on earth – that really matters. We reach out to try to touch the stars, all the while being grounded in the earth. I was going through my computer and 'tidying up' a bit last night - it was getting to the point where I couldn't find anything!
