i was going to send an Ask asking you how/if you edited a photo of stapled together pieces of paper for that kris and noelle illustration but then i looked closer and realized it was in fact painted. you conveyed the ~Subtleties~ of the papers' ripped edges and the bending curves on the ends of the staples very well! add to that, the uneven and crooked alignment of the staples' to fit the unevenly shaped pieces, it is incredibly evocative. one of the best illustrations i've seen recently...

Hiii!! Yes everything in this piece is actually hand drawn :D i was going in for a bittersweet feeling thru visual metaphors, originally it would be red stitches tied up, but staples evoke a harsher look, which is exactly what i wanna display on kris and noelle's relationship in the piece!! thank u so so much for ur kind words this actually made my day 🥺🤞
