“Bravo la pédophilie.” - Adèle Haenel after the Cesars2020 awarded Roman Polanski. Adèle herself is a survivor of child abuse.
I don't hate you for finding someone new, I don't blame you for the pain I'm going through, but a part of me wishes somehow I knew– what it would be like if I had not met you.

My Days of Mercy (2017)
A film by Tali Shalom Ezer depicting an unusual connection between two women from different families and socio-political beliefs.
What I love about this film is its capacity to tell a daring relationship while placing huge focus on death penalty in United States. Tali created a story so wonderful without putting lesbian relationships in prejudice and at the same time providing its audience with tear-jerker moments.
It’s not just a lesbian film, but a story with so much passion for love, justice, beliefs and family. Ellen Page also did a wonderful job in this film and by far, her most not awkward queer role. Kate Mara–Page’s co-producer and co-star, also graced us with her mesmerizing character.
Indeed, the film gave us a whole package, one where you couldn’t really ask for more and one undoubtedly beautiful love story.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)
An exquisitely magnificent film by Celine Sciamma revovling around the story of women in the 18th Century Brittany, France.
Ultimate lesbian classic film–beating Carol and My Days of Mercy in my list. Portrait of a Lady on Fire is among the most empowering movies ever created.
The film didn’t fail to showcase genuine collaboration not only between the two lead women, but also among all women characters in the whole film. It exceeds its purpose to tell, not only a romance between two women but also of women as creators.
The film will definitely leave its audience in pain and in awe with the amount of love and power the characters provided in the whole film. Nothing less of a genius story told through images, paintings, hand gestures, eye-contact, and breathing. It is amazing how one film can contain multitudes of meanings and unending interpretations from women, for women and also men.
Definitely something no one should miss, regardless of gender, age and taste. Once again, women proved they can make better films than men, and best stories ever told to an audience.
Again, merci beaucoup Celine Sciamma.
