Note: that is not a lumberjack!!! Most likely it is a domesticated marine biologist, possibly a domesticated fisherman, (you can tell because it has been clothed in wool, which stays warm when wet, so it is is clearly well cared for).

While this may be appropriate enrichment for your DOMESTICATED and WELL TRAINED marine biologist or fisherman, please remember that lumberjacks may be tame, but are not domesticated. They are still wild, and they absolutely will freak out if they see you swimming around in their forests.

Hey, so what if the "Abyssal Vedrfolnir Voice" that spoke to Rerir was actually a version of Vedrfolnir instead of simply the Abyss mimicking his voice?

As in, this voice is an amalgamation of a bunch of Vedrfolnirs, all originating from those "fates that won't come to pass" that make up the Abyss, using Vedr's Blasphemy against Time to transcend the differing timelines.

Now, for the fun headcanon part, if we consider the voice's role in the Fall of Khaenri'ah, where it actively helped in the corruption of the Five Sinners, what if this amalgamation doesn't resent Teyvat's current timeline and is actually doing its best to guide the current Vedrfolnir?

As for why? Because they're all trying to reach a future where Dainsleif survives, and this is the furthest they've ever come to reaching that goal.

In other words, the moment when your younger sibling has such an awful sense of self-preservation that you literally have to embrace the power of the Abyss to rebel against the concept of Time itself, all while also going against the Abyss' natural rules, since the other versions of yourself that are guiding you show no resentment to the current world.

Who knows, maybe the Curse of Immortality was a desperate attempt by Vedr to keep Dain alive (only divine intervention would stop him from dying).

my favorite types of ved theories are those where he has finally had his first taste of any control over fate after being a passive observer for too long, and the one thing he does is obssess over the well-being of his brother on a cosmic scale (he's making it everyone else's problem and threatening teyvat in the process)
