Confidence is Key
Confidence has a direct impact on mental and physical well-being. Some psychologists believe that confidence is a more powerful determinant of success than innate ability. It can make us more or less vulnerable to stress and depression, and it influences how far we are likely to persevere in the face of difficulties. It affects the immune system and activates endorphins, our natural painkillers.
Self-confidence is a set of beliefs about yourself, not an inherent skill or personality trait. You can be very competent and capable and still feel a lack of self-confidence, but it is possible to improve your confidence level, and it is worth trying to do so. Do this by focusing on the positives in your life. Recognize what you are good at and try to implement those things more into your daily routine.
