ok just imagine kl are rivals still, and theyve been kinda abrasive to eachother for a while. they have moments of playful banter and stuff but theyre not rlly friends yet. then they get into an unfortunate situation where they have to work together to get out. theyre tired but lance is like "YEAH!!! LETS GOO" and is laughing and talking to hunk. he catches keith's eye bc keith had been staring at how pretty he is, and keith looks away. lance smiles tenderly at him and keith smiles a little to himself. idk maybe something like this has happened in canon but i read too many fics to remember whats real and whats not

hunk: perhaps an earth bender or engineer w/ties to earth kingdom since hes v grounded and a solid dude. he doesnt rlly reflect the gaang like the rest of the vld crew besides maybe appa since hes always helping the team and is a soft guy.

shiro: he gives me iroh vibes in the sense that he's mastered his skills and can control his emotions. (also dad vibes 1000%) he may be a fire or lightning bender since hes passionate and is able to fuel his physical power w mental strength???? idk lmao

pidge: im still not sure, maybe air since she's p versatile and is able to adapt? send suggestions :)

allura: either the avatar since she was asleep for years, or yue/the moon spirit. also could be katara/waterbender since shes a mom friend and i feel like she has the patience to master bending

lance: my fav blue boy!! he'd be similar to sokka since they prove their worth without having extreme athleticism or bending. also "im just a boy from cuba" and "just a guy with a boomerang" parallelism lol

keith: probably zuko/a firebender bc they have natural talent and temperaments that motivate them to work harder to hone their skills. the angst, too. although keith doesnt feel a particular need to prove his worth, i think it fits well. (also face scar twins lmao)

should i continue this
