I think that I have this ask in my box since like idk 2017? asdkkfj I’m actually sorry for not doing this sooner I always wanted to do it but something came in my way I’m not even sure if you remember that you have send this ask I’m sorry akskdkf but I finally had the moment to go through some old posts and find what I needed.
The first time Marco called Mario Sunny was back in 2012
I don’t have a screenshot of the original text but in a interview he basically said ‘Sunny is a funny guy who likes to laugh a lot’ and then added on some stuff about how they hang out and what he likes about Mario on and off the pitch
In this one I actually have from an old tumblr account the source of, he basically starts the line with Sunny as you can see. In short translation he basically says that Mario is a really nice guy and that they spend their vacation together especially after his injury (2013) he also adds that they have shared lots of talks together
There is also another interview which I sadly don’t have the source of like no screenshot or whatsoever but I remember pretty well that Marco said there ‘I call him Sunny because he’s always smiling like the sun’ it was pretty much like that when he got asked why he would call Mario Sunny
And lastly when Mario was in FCB he was in one of those YT clips and there was a question what is nickname was and he replied with Sunny
