People disappeared, reappeared, made plans to go somewhere, and then lost each other, searched for each other, found each other a few feet away.

Daily reminder!
listening to buzzwordy news: a very, sort of
myopically-charged debate
that’s evolved into a really, kind of
organically, galvanized, curated conversation
and it seems to be only a play
and the star is whoever has
the most interesections rehearsed
it’s clear that it’s unclear
what’s really happening here
and I’m trying not to just assume the worst
even as an unfolding score is deemed inauthentic
unless uninspired by any group
unless you’re a real songwriter’s decendent
cause if you learned something on youtube
you are not real
although no one is exclusively submersed
everyone’s sad about style subscribers
needing to feel like underrated outsiders
and I’m trying not to just assume the worst
while up on that stage in a different chorus, the donald
who put lightly can seem sleazy
in a supposed effort to not coddle
doesn’t seem to see he
started the whole thing confusing
thanking for her service the same one he wanted imprisoned
as some thought he’d be the first
who didn’t just talk in circles
who seemed orange but maybe is purple
and I’m trying not to just assume the worst
a few there are drafting scripts of how women should be
don’t be too funny, but don’t be too calm
it seems more artibitrary than biology
but keep pretty and busy and wringing your palms
till you fit into that costume of whatever you are
because categories are just easier to traverse
but I’m trying not to drag them from their day, their time
I’m trying to meet them between their way and mine
and it helps if I don’t just assume the worst
because over both choruses of well-founded whining
I can hear a hum so deep
over different definitions of freedom chiming
I can hear a good that’s deep
yet we’ve washed out in the spot light, stage right
who had wanted for each the right of discretion first
and stage left is brooding, wounded
who began just wanting everyone to feel included
so with both why do we always just assume the worst
while outside that heated theater interwined
there are at least roots of good intention
if you take an intermission and get some fresh air you’ll find
more than violence in contention
you’ll find those sprouts just inching for the sun
so whichever your scene I won’t be coersed
into thinking yours only has any good
and what would that help even if I could
so you won’t make me assume the worst

Mr Carson: Are you decent?
Thomas: Not morally, but I'm wearing pants if that's what you're asking.
