for me its a writing-side criticism. Jax tadc is not a real person she is a purple rabbit from an internet cartoon. I dont have an issue with characters being bad people. I do have an issue with said characters bad choices going uninterrogated by the writing and reflecting flawed beliefs of the creator, specifically goose talking about how she "loves violence against women" and jax just happens to never perpetrate violence against men. Its also with like jax being immortalized in a mural and that fucking aquarium after episode nine, and the magic forgiveness bomb and whatnot.

Tl dr i support womens wrongs but jax is not a real person and the writing of jax' character reflet gooses weird feelings toward women and violence as well as jax' bad actions going uninterrogated by the plot.

jax quite literally killed herself i don't think her behavior was uninterrogated.

i have A Lot Of Opinions. I think a lot of pomni's experiences in jax's mind was almost like... a confession from jax of all her bullshit. kinda reminded me of a 5th step in 12 step recovery (coming from someone in 12 step recovery). i don't think she was by any means supposed to be idolized, just finally being able to acknowledge that she has been a shit person and friend. she essentially killed herself in her own misery. i view her character as a cautionary tale.

i think some of the tadc finale haters are missing that goose said a lot of her character writing is inspired by eva... OF COURSE she is gonna make an incredibly fucked up character if that's where she's taking inspo from.

not that the finale was perfect by any means or that everyone's points are invalid. but i am not blaming her for exploring a messy character because that's what makes the show (similar to eva) interesting to me
