Jax coming out to her mom in a desperate attempt for some kind of connection and understanding and having it immediately be thrown back in her face and have it used as more ammunition against her, ending with her mom trying to hug her to make HERSELF feel better, making Jax literally and figuratively push her away and run out, is trans rep on par with Buffy not-gay coming out to her mom. Like its that real.

Jax being trans doesn't forgive any of her mistakes or excuse her being a total asshole and I love it. Jax was not a favourite character of mine, but I was always interested in their story and what Gooseworx would do with her especially since this is not a kids show. Canonically revealing that not only IS she trans, but that internalized hatred and destructive behaviour led to the downfall of everyone around them is genuinely so good.

And tying her abstraction with "Isn't She Lovely", literally no words. Didn't cry until right then. Something about how blatantly she was referred to as "she" there. I don't know man, I love how Goose wrote this character.

im not gonna say i believe in transfem ralsei wholeheartedly, BUT. the last time the transfems on twitter and tumblr started shouting that a male character was actually a severely repressed and closeted trans woman they ended up actually being somewhat right. so uh. be nicer to them when they're bringing up that possibility this time.

(also transmasc ralsei is a deliberate misreading of the character which purely exists to piss off the galsei 2 believers and it actually pisses me off but thats not what this post is about)
