Studio Ghibli - The Day I Bought a Star - Dir. Hayao MIyazaki (2006)

“Nana, a young boy tired of the city, escapes into the country. When trying to bring vegetables to the market to sell, his cart breaks down and he exchanges the vegetables for a mystical seed…”

Released in 2006 this 16 minute film is based on a story by Naohisa Inoue and set in the mysterious world of “Iblard” which inspired the art for the fantasy scenes in Whisper of the Heart (1995).

When i booked my trip to Japan earlier in the year i was praying to the gods that this would be one of the films being shown when i visited the Ghibli Museum and thankfully it was :D

The film is incredibly beautiful with an utterly enchanting and mysterious story and characters, so it feels like a little bit of a shame that not many people will get to see it…  Then on the other it makes the Ghibli museum experience even more magical to visit leaving you with an incredible memory to take away with you which i think is what the museum is all about.

Ok so you have earned a Judgemnet reprieve from me. YES when it comes to u guys change is horribly scary. (An earned reaction) I am kinda intrested in seeing of the sales are better. Yes you have 5-jillion apps that take up a lot of space, so combining kinda sounds like a good idea (but after Lovestruck sucks ....Grr) but honestly the saving grace that has sold me on waiting to see how that actual app is was the new content & illustrations for the discontinued apps. I'm a sucker for the Cg's and the wedding/ baby stories.

As a major Fan since the beginning, I really hope this is a good change for once.

Totally understand your frustration about them killing SITSC before releasing Love 100 over here. One thing I saw is the jp version was updated like they did LLFTX. When I had asked about PIL stories being able to transfer so I didn't have to re purchase they just said the app was to old there was no way to transfer in the formate and they could do anything about it. Just outta curiosity is it still a paid to play app or is it like more expensive to use like Lovestruck? & graphics different?

Are you saying, Voltage overseas said you cannot transfer the PIL routes from the old app to the revamped one because the system was different? Probably so but i don’t think it is the total truth. The old Japanese apps have been updating themselves whenever new OS were released. They are still accessible now. They never made their customers pay for that. So their excuse about formatting and such is total BS. 

As for the new app, although the interface is vertical, when you start a route, you turn the phone horizontally like usual. They are all pay to play apps, everything is exactly the same but now it is all found in one place. The prices seems to be same? I actually stopped buying routes in English. A main route in Japan is $4.99. They use the point system. I feel the graphics are the same.

Yes that's what they said, that the old version had no way to transfer. When I ask why they didn't upgrade it like they did LLFTX to a version that can transfer they only said they can't without any real explanation... I'm really going to miss SITSC it is my #1 of all the apps🤧.

@redpantychan Thank you for the Info!! While I'm still not thrilled about this change, I do feel a bit better about what is to come.
