"No they're not. When I say 'mom and dad', I mean Ami and Julian. When I say 'mother and father', I mean my birth parents, Daisy and Doug. It's a simple way of telling them apart. I even do this with my grandparents. One side is grandmother/grandfather while the other is grandma/grandpa."
