āThank thee, Sans. I'll beest eft in just a moment.ā
I stand in front of the mirror and take off my armor. As I get undressed, I notice five petals falling from the flower in my hair, totalling at 6 having fallen out. That would leave 6 petals remaining, but I only count four. Two petals mustāve fallen out when I was thawing out.
I stare at my bare reflection and give my new form a proper look-over. After I finish looking myself over, I get dressed into my winter gear, reequip my armor, and head out the door to meet with Sans and Papyrus.
āALRIGHT! JUST 'OP ON THAT THERE SNOW WAGON,ā Papyrus says, pointing to a large, heavily loaded wagon with sled tracks instead of wheels, āAN' WE'LL BE OFF!!ā
Sans helps me into the passenger section of the wagon, which overlaps with the cargo section greatly, and hops in shotgun. Papyrus climbs into the driverās seat and starts the wagon forward.
We ride through the empty expanse of Snowdin for hours on end. I doze off quickly. Itās easy to fall asleep, seeing how Iām surrounded by several thick, warm fabrics; Iām wearing my winter gear, which is already warm; and Iām a fluffy goat monster.
I wake up to getting my face poked by someone I donāt know. āF'r the love of the Great Angel above, keep thy fingers to thyself!ā
The poking stops, and I sit up and take in my surroundings. Iām in one of an innās rooms. The one who was poking me is a bunny. This bunny in particular seems to be an innkeeper of sorts.
āI'm sorry, mate,ā she says, her Aussie accent very strong. āI didn't mean to annoy you. It's just that Captain Papyrus is waiting for you downstairs, and he sent me to wake you up.ā
āNay, I apologize f'r snapping at thee.ā
I get up and stretch. The innkeeper leaves the room, most likely to return to her duties, and I get ready to go downstairs.
Papyrus is pacing near one of the tables, muttering things to himself.
I approach him and ask, āThee did wish to see me, Papyrus?ā
The pirate captain looks up at me and smiles brightly. āAH, THERE YE BE, FRISK!ā he exclaims. āWHILE YE WAS ASLEEP, AN' YE DID SLEEP FER A WHILE, SANS AN' I DISCUSSED SOMETHIN'... CONCERNIN'. AS I AM SURE YE BE AWARE, 'UMANS WHO FALL DOWN 'ERE ARE TURNED INTO MONSTERS, WITH WHICH KIND O' MONSTERS THEY BECOME DEPENDIN' ON THE 'UMAN.
āALSO, ANYWHERE FROM ONE TO TEN FLOWERS BLOOM SOMEWHERE ON THE PSEUDO-MONSTER'S BODY, AN' WHEN ALL THE PETALS FALL OFF, THE 'UMAN LOSES THEIR 'UMANITY AN' BECOMES AN ACTUAL MONSTER. WHAT I BE TRYIN' TO SAY BE, WHEN I FIRST SAW YE BEHIND THE SNOW MOUND, I NOTICED THAT THE FLOWER IN YER 'AIR 'AD ELEVEN PETALS. BUT EARLIER TODAY, YER FLOWER... 'AD FOUR PETALS.ā
