Knight and Martyrdom (K+M) is a brand for illustration service by Ade Deni Ramdani, an illustrator from Bandung, Indonesia. Inspired by the cynical views of heroism, the brand goal are to provide dark-surrealism, apocalyptical visual arts, in conjuction with morality and mortality. K+M has been featured in several popular media, from Tumblr art community (e.g eatsleepdraw.com) to Deviantart (Daily Deviation), Creativ to The Weird Tales Magazine (both are featuring K+M on their Facebook page's post), T2 online (article) to Vice Indonesia (opening poster). Sometime, K+M also contributing on local zine and art-related event. Bobi yang merupakan pria kelahiran Gabon memiliki hobi membaca buku. Dari komedi ke filsafat, luas seleranya bisa membentang sejauh kemana fantasinya soal tatanan dunia ideal bisa membawa. Namun meski begitu, hobinya tersebut tidak memberi celah untuk menjadi pemikir aktif-reaktif. Dia cenderung hanya ingin menikmati dunianya sendiri, sebagaimana kepeduliannya pada keberlangsungan idealisme yang aman tanpa sentuhan ekstra berbasis kontra. Pada tahun 1972 Bobi memenangkan kuis dari sebuah produk mie instan populer di negaranya. Dia mendapat hadiah berupa trip ke Endonesya selama satu minggu bersama satu orang tercinta. Merasa beruntung mendapat kesempatan berkunjung ke negara di mana imajinya pernah terbentuk, akhirnya dia pergi bersama anjing kesayangannya bernama Ade. Anjing? Ya, bukan karena Bobi tidak punya teman, dia hanya terlanjur terikat "dog is your only loyal companion" yang ditemukannya pada salah satu halaman koran bertema religi. Singkat cerita, Bobi pada akhirnya memutuskan untuk menetap di Endonesya setelah mendapat bermacam sugesti memabukan soal keuntungan utopis menjadi warga negara tersebut. Namun, setelah puluhan tahun berlalu, Bobi dengan masa tuanya di 2017 ini menyadari, bahkan terlampau sangat memahami: dia tinggal di negeri produsen pion.

Pale Scales Mix media | 2017 Dengan membeli beberapa bungkus mie di akhir bulan yang kerap didramatisasi, setiap anak kost utamanya diri kita yang pernah mengalami sendiri, pasti pernah merasa jika dibalik banyaknya masalah yang bersifat masif, hal sesederhana urusan perut saja sebenarnya bisa cukup merepotkan. Terlebih pada situasi dan kondisi yang pada kenyataannya, miskin uang dan peluang. Dengan hidupnya kita di dunia saja, kita sudah dihadapkan pada bermacam masalah yang mesti diseleksi sedemikian rupa untuk pada akhirnya diputuskan mana yang lebih pantas diambil peduli. Minor ke mayor, sepele ke bertele-tele. Seiring bertambahnya umur, tak jarang kita dibuat sadar jika, apa yang disebut skala prioritas sebenarnya kondisional. Dan karena kondisional, justru yang dirasa lebih pantas diutamakan pertama pada akhirnya tidak jauh dari pemenuhan kebutuhan pribadi. Bukan karena kita egosentris, tapi karena idealnya segala hal yang bersifat ekstra baiknya dimulai dari intra. Demi apa? Demi kesadaran akan skala prioritas yang realistis. Begitu. Ada perang, ada beraneka macam pemicu khawatir dan berang. Namun apakah kita sadar, jika kita tidak akan bisa mendalami itu semua, apalagi sampai ke tahap memikirkan solusi maupun praktek tatatiti sebelum memenuhi, memantapkan apa yang ada pada diri sendiri?
