Leon! Welcome. I was doing my patrol and noticed you here, it's been awhile. Please let me know if you need anything.
"Oh, the lady knight! What a surprise!" An uncharacteristically large grin graced his lips; oh the fun there was to be had! "Well, now that you mention it, I am in dire need of a slippery dick! Could you get one for me? The biggest one you can possibly find, please!"
Forte frowned at his choice of nicknames. She wasn’t too familiar with the man, only seeing him briefly while on patrol and such. She knew he liked to tease her little brother, but he didn’t seem to mind as he was quite infatuated with the ex-monster. She narrowed her eyes, acknowledging him with curt nod.
Always willing to help, Forte made sure to listen intently. It was her duty after all!
"Yes of course, I will find you a slippery di-" Forte’s words came to an abrupt halt, her cheeks flushing red. "P-Perhaps you should ask Dylas for one… he is very ample in that area."
Forte paused, realizing what she had just said. “That a-area, as in fishing of course. I myself am not very good with such things you know, haha…”
With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, Leon tapped the tip of his fan to his lips. What a face! The perfect reaction! And what an amazing follow-up! Sheesh, Forte wasn’t very good with word choice, was she?
Leon struggled to choke back a laugh, and wiping a tear from his eye, said. “Oh, ho, ho, lady knight— I had no clue you were so well acquainted with that horse!”
"…Oh."
His lips puckered— but still! He saw hope in this situation yet! Pulling out his handy-dandy mental book of innuendos, Leon smirked.
"Well, I would imagine him being better acquainted with that area — after all, it is quite hard not to notice how… skillfully Dylas thrusts his rod forward into that wet, fishy-smelling place. Don’t you agree?”
She found his gaze infuriating. Had she not known of his past, and if he were not so well liked by Lin Fa and Xao Pai, she would hold a sword to his neck and threaten him with his life. Unfortunately she was much too soft to truly threaten someone who was a friend without succumbing to blushing or something. The whole idea seemed rather intimate in an unconventional way.
"I am not acquainted with Dylas in the slightest!" She replied, shocked by his assumption. Wide-eyed, she could feel her cheeks flushing even further and the whole idea of that made her want to rip her own throat off. "I have never noticed his technique in thrusting rods although I am sure he has great form!"
Forte folded her arms, staring down at the floor with a pout almost too childish for a woman of her stature. Perhaps she needed to read more only because then she could articulate better. She ground her boot into the grass. Stupid anubis.
Forte & Illuminata
"Yeah, I’m sure Forte," Illuminata said. Hesitating of a second, the detective sighed. "I just messed up a little and i’m trying to fix my mistake," she admitted with a shrug, hoping to diffuse any suspicions the knight might have. At this point, she might as well let her know enough to not worry. "It’s not a big deal though, just something I need to take care of myself."
"I’ve got this under control though. You’d be the first to know if i found out about something endangering the town though, trust me."
Forte smirked playfully, arching a brow. "The great detective makes a mistake?"
She would have left it as a teasing remark if she didn't feel so bad after. A demure lamb at heart, Forte fiddled with her hair before making eye contact with Illuminata once more.
"Only joking, we all make mistakes!" She sounded as enthusiastic as she could. Her expression softened, "I am glad I can trust you."
Forte! I have a new recipe I found for cupcakes and I'll think you'll really like them. Should I try making them at home tonight?
Forte was momentarily pleased to see her little brother. It seemed that these days they were always missing each other. However, upon his innocent inquiry, she yanked his shirt to move him closer.
"Don’t be so public!" She whispered, sighing. "B-But yes. Of course. We should spend some time together."
The young blonde blinked when his sister pulled him closer. She wasn’t always this aggressive and it took him completely off guard. "Sorry Forte," he said quickly, "though I was just wondering. Why can’t I ask you stuff in public?" he asked. "It’s just I know you really liked that one cake receipt I made with the strawberries for your birthday so I thought that you’d want to try something else for a treat. Sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you." He said innocently.
Forte sighed again, and transformed her grip on her brother into a tender hug. Short-lived it was, but a hug nonetheless. Pink glowed on the apples of her cheeks - how she hated sentimentality and how she loved it too.
"I'm sorry Kiel you know how I feel about -- " Forte paused, "that stuff."
Her eyes brightened at the thought of cake. "Yes. After I patrol let's eat together. We can call over Bado as well."

Was he prepared? If he backed down now, she’d think he was a total wuss and go laughing about it to everyone in town. If he didn’t, he could quite plausibly kill her.
Decisions, decisions…
"Y’know, I don’t think today’s a good day," Doug eventually came out with. "I screwed up my wrist in a fight the other day, so…y’know…I might be a little off-balance. But, uh, maybe next week or something, I’d be down with that!" He crossed his arms, nodding up at the blonde woman. Hopefully, what with all her knightly duties and whatever, she’d forget about it completely.
Forte registered the dwarf's expressions. Doug was often hard to read, at least for someone like her. She had a soldier's mentality in a way, not so much a mindless brute but clueless to things that weren't routine. Doug liked to say things that didn't match what he felt, to make sure he looked cool or something.
Although she wasn't skilled in reading people, she could feel Doug's hesitance.
"Don't worry Doug. It is very noble to back out of things you feel you cannot do." She made a fist with her hand, showing strength. "I think Kiel is back home, I can take my chores elsewhere. Thanks for your help!"

Dolce, hello! Welcome - is Pico with you? Welcome to her as well. How are you doing?
"…Hello, Dolce. Are you holding up well?" She nodded awkwardly in greeting, turning her head to check if her ghostly companion was around. She could have attempted to hold up conversation, but it was far too early in the morning to do so. Instead her eyes wandered from side to side, waiting for Pico to pop up without warning.
"Of course! Silly Forte. I would never leave my mistress alone!" Pico’s smile radiated easily, giving off that constant happiness of her’s. "Hello to you, too! Haha!"
"I… am doing fine, I suppose. When it’s frosty cold like this, the town is…"
“SNOW place to be?" Pico piped in playfully.
"…." Staring the ghost down, rather annoyed, she waved the terrible pun off. Dolce’s furrowed eyebrows couldn’t hold down the ghost of a smile she was wearing though. "….Anyway… How are you, Forte?"
Dolce looked tired. Forte always forgot that the girl did enjoy her sleep, but Dolce’s house was closets to hers and she did enjoy spending time with the girl. It seemed that coming to her house before her early morning patrol may have been pushing it a bit. Forte smiled fondly, amused by the girl’s evident fatigue.
"I’m sorry, it seems I’ve awakened you."
She bowed her head apologetically before letting out startled whimper. That Pico - always popping up out of nowhere and shattering her sophisticated demeanour in seconds.
"H-Hello Pico!" Forte chuckled lightly, she hated to admit that she was still uneasy around the ghost. "It is rather cold."
Forte turned her attention back to Dolce, idly fixing her armour. “Not so bad. Early patrol - I’m sorry. I’ll make a mental note to greet you after I am finished. It is really early…”

Hey Forte. It's harmony day, so I wanted to give you some flowers to celebrate! Here, they're just some blue hydrangeas, but I hope you like them!
Oh I have been so busy, I have not had the time to hand out flowers. Thank you Illuminata, I will make sure to put them in water right away!
Blue flowers were left on the doorstep. Pico flashes by for a moment and disappears, giggling.
"G-g-g-g-ghost!" Forte's entire body trembled, frozen to the core. She felt sick for a moment, before regaining her composure to kneel down and pick up the flowers given to her.
"B-b-blue?" She mused, unable to keep her grip on the flowers as they dropped to the floor. "Is this a symbol of death!?"
She was about to run over and Kiel before she saw Pico out of the corner of her eye. She swallowed, intensely embarrassed.

Forte & Illuminata
Well shoot, that distraction didn’t work.And beyond that, the knight was starting to take on an intimidating expression. Illuminata quickly strengthened her smile, not wanting her to know about the cases. “Don’t worry about it, Forte. I’m certain they’re nothing that you need to be concerned about.”
The elf hadn’t been expecting the hand on her shoulder, and jumped slightly at the contact. “There’s nothing you need to take care of, nothing frightens this detective,” Illuminata boasted, jabbing a thumb towards her chest. While fer face radiated confidence, her eyes nervously flickered around briefly. The sincerity in Forte’s voice didn’t help at all with her growing urge to just tell the truth, but she had to keep it under wraps. This was her mess, and she was going to take care of it.
"Illuminata, are you sure?" She removed her hand, a frown on her face. She didn't want to pry, as perhaps it was a personal issue or something. However it did not make sense! Illuminata was usually such a chipper young woman, and Forte admired her for keeping so passionate all the time. Especially when dealing with Amber and her tendencies.
"Well I suppose if it truly put the town in danger, you'd let me know."
A Little Rusty | Forte & Doug
"Practice—you mean—" Doug clamped his mouth shut as Forte readied herself. Oh crap, was she actually going to…Trying not to freak and lose all of the respect Forte seemed to have for him, Doug winced, cringing in preparation.
When he didn’t feel any kind of impact, he opened his eyes, looking at her in confusion. “Wait, you want me to try it? No shit?” He hadn’t really meant that seriously, had he? What if he fucked up and cut her head clean off? “Wait, are you messing with me?”
"Yes s-shit!" Forte spluttered. She was startled by the amount of cursing Doug could manage to use. Not one for cursing herself despite her job being one with many stressors, she was merely taken aback by his surprise. Her face reddened, "I mean yes, I trust you!"
She placed her sword back and placed the armour in front of the dwarf. Perhaps this was too much effort for him? She did not want to inconvenience him or anything of the sort.
"Only if you are prepared."

Hello! My deepest apologies, for it's taken me awhile to write back.
To answer your question, yes! Being a knight is fairly difficult. The job never ends, you are constantly on watch. Even when I sleep, I feel as though I should be guarding the town.

"What? Oh, no, no need to be on alert," Illuminata quickly insisted, the smile on her face wavering ever so slightly. "They’re just a couple minor, personal cases. Nothing that would threaten Selphia," she continued, telling the truth. They were just personal cases, and nothing that should draw the attention of the knight. Well… one of them might have gotten her attention, but Illuminata would prefer to keep it under wraps.
"So, how’s guarding the town going?" The elf asked, trying to steer the attention away from her potentially shady investigations.
Forte blinked through her bangs, a look of confusion appearing on her face. She did not have a knack for reading people, but she felt as though Illuminata was giving her a mixed feeling kind of vibe. She cleared her throat, and narrowed her eyes.
"Are you certain?"
Forte reached out and touched Illuminata on the shoulder in all sincerity. "No need to be embarrassed if you are frightened by said thing, Illuminata. I will take care of it."
A Little Rusty | Forte & Doug
Doug watched as Forte laughed. He wasn’t exactly sure what she was finding funny but he cracked a grin nevertheless, figuring he must have just missed something. It was better than her being all nervous and uptight, like she had been a minute ago.
When Forte’s demeanor changed into one of bemusement, Doug frowned. “Wait, you were serious?” he yelped. “Aw, man, I’m not doubting you but you could cut me in half!” Even a skilled swordswoman made mistakes, right? And this wasn’t an arena in which Doug was eager to see the fruits of those mistakes.
"Fret not, I will not do you any harm! I promise!" She paused, "I will do a few practice swings, this is your notice!"
She took her stance once more, the gravel under her feet crackling as she positioned herself. About to swing, she hesitated for a moment and registered the look of concern on Doug's face. Once again, she cracked a smile. She was indeed enjoying herself, but she did not wish to make anyone feel endangered.
"I think you are right." A sigh left her lips, "perhaps you should carry out this task instead. I would be very grateful."
