Paul's having a horrible day and just wants some black coffee made by the cute barista who he knows will not!! sing. Right? But you see, Emma spent the whole morning learning some dumbass new tip song and being exhausted she just wanted some coffee as well. Sorry Paul, but it looks like you're not making it through the first 30 minutes of the show this time around. But isn't this a kinder ending anyway?

Pleurotus ostreatus, or oyster mushrooms for Week 3 of Funguary hosted by the wonderful @feefal

This week's theme is Immortal, and I went with oyster mushrooms, as in nature they grow on and decompose dead trees, possess known health benefits for us, and have been used in nature for mycoremediation purposes as well. And since they're something that both decomposes and heals, it made me think of them as a version of deities of fate and the circle of life.

A lil fanart I drew for @notherpuppet 's Radioapple AU "My Deer Nanny". It's one of my favourite AUs and I keep rereading it all the time. rn they're in the club from the "Let's dance" chapter, bc I like to think they go there a lot :D (imagine there's Lone Digger by Caravan Palace playing)

Mycena subcyanocephala for week 4 of Funguary hosted by the wonderful @feefal

I chose this beautiful, tiny mushroom of a size of 1 mm for the Cosmic week to remind us that just as there is a whole universe infinitely bigger than us, there are also universes infinitely smaller, all around us, and all equally important and fascinating.

It's the last day of February as well as the last week of the last Funguary, and I'm really grateful I got to participate and complete it. I loved drawing these little mushroom fairies, reading about mushrooms and discovering amazing artists that also joined. Thank you feefal, this was really fun <3

Cantharellus cibarius for Week 2 of Funguary 2026 hosted by the wondeful @feefal

Fun fact: in my native language, cantarellus cibarius is called "kuriatko" (literally "baby chick") because of its yellow colour. And since we're in Fairytale week, I went with the Ugly Duckling, except it's a Cantharellus, which was mistaken for a baby chick and is raised with them, until when they grow up, the chickens become hens and roosters and she becomes a mushroom :)

Cordyceps militaris for the 1. week of Funguary 2026 hosted by the wonderful @feefal

I'm so glad I decided to join this Funguary, I forgot how fun it was to draw mushroom ladies <3

I love Cordyceps, as these cute little things are one of the parasitic mushrooms that infect different kinds of insects, and as they grow, they digest the host from the inside out eventually killing it.

FUNGUARY WEEK 3: POISONOUS

Stropharia aeruginosa, commonly known as the verdigris agaric, is a medium-sized mushroom, found on lawns, mulch and woodland. Its cap is at first a vivid blue/green, and slimy, with a sprinkling of white veil remnants around the edge. The colour in the gluten fades, or is washed off as it matures, and it becomes yellow ocher, mostly at the centre.

POV: she does not very much appreciate you taking a picture of her, nor does she very much appreciate the rumors about her poisonous properties. She won’t confirm nor deny them however, so you’d have to try for yourself to find out, if you dare.

FUNGUARY WEEK 2: COLORFUL

Trametes versicolor is a common polypore mushroom found throughout the world. Meaning 'of several colors', versicolor reliably describes this fungus that displays different colors. For example, because its shape and multiple colors are similar to those of a wild turkey, it is commonly called turkey tail.

POV: she’s a dancer, of course and didn’t even pause when she saw you taking a picture. She’s not poisonous, but being tough and leathery, she’s hard to chew, so unless you plan to consume her in powder form, you really shouldn’t bother eating her.

FUNGUARY WEEK 1: SPOOKY 

Hydnellum peckii, mostly found in North America and Europe, is a mycorrhizal species, and forms mutually beneficial relationships with a variety of coniferous trees. Young, moist fruit bodies can "bleed" bright red guttation droplets that contain a pigment known to have anticoagulant properties similar to heparin, which has earned the species several descriptive common names, including strawberries and cream, the bleeding Hydnellum, the bleeding tooth fungus, the red-juice tooth, and the Devil's tooth.

POV: you found her chilling in a forest and she’s posing for a picture. She’s not poisonous, but her taste is very bitter, so you probably shouldn’t eat her.
