Many autistic people have been hurt by ABA, and evidence of its benefits are limited, but states still spend billions on it. In New York Time's opinion page, ASAN’s Executive Director Colin Killick argues that as states rein in ABA, they must expand access to supports that help us. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/04/opinion/children-autism-profits.html
I can't remember who said it but I saw a comment or tweet talking about hypocrisy that essentially said The Hypocrisy Is The Point. hypocrisy is power. it's the ability to set rules for everyone else except you. and if power is a virtue then hypocrisy is a virtue. it's why you never really get anywhere with "by your logic..." or "then wouldn't that mean...". it's not that they don't realize they're being hypocritical. they do it on purpose to prove that you have to listen to them and they don't have to listen to you
Happy Pride everyone, today is the tenth anniversary of the nationwide right to gay Marriage in the United States and the 22nd anniversary of nationwide legalization of Gay Sex. In 2 days is the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.
We have won nothing without fighting and we have everything to lose, there is no gay liberation without trans liberation, none of us are free till all of us are free, we have won so much and come so far but the road ahead is still long, we must continue to fight for both our liberation and the liberation of all people
The gay liberation movement is young, everything we have fought for and won happened over the course of less than a human lifetime, and there are forces at play that wish to claw back at these hard fought for rights, we must be prepared to defend what we have fought for and we must continue to fight for improvement
We have to celebrate how far things have come, because we never would have made it this far without joy and hope, and while we can and must fight, we also must remain hopeful
This year is:
11 years since nationwide gay marriage in the US
23 years since sodomy was legalized
57 years since Stonewall
Reminder to all those who are going to see The Last Act, please be respectful in and out of theaters don't spoil for those who can't go to theaters to see the movie, and in theaters please do not shout or talk over the movie, it's okay to be excited but please keep unnecessary screaming to a minimum, there's probably more I forgot so feel free to add to this, hope you all have a safe viewing!!
We agree. It is okay to cosplay, sing-along, and have a good time in general. But it crosses the line when people are screaming, throwing buckets of popcorn/food, and bringing in a live chicken into the theater.
You can be excited while also being respectful to fellow theater go-ers. (We certainly don’t want another Minecraft movie situation.)
G!News will be posting a spoiler and theater etiquette post when we get closer to the date, not only for those who got a ticket but also those who have been dodging spoilers like the plague. Let’s make sure everyone has a wonderful experience with this finale of TADC!
— Glitch Newsroom, signing off
people keep saying that Goose made ep9 bad "on purpose" to "punish the fandom" and while I have no idea what happens in ep9, i think y'all are forgetting that
1: while Glitch does give Goose creative freedom, I'm not sure they'd let her toss the ending in the garbage because a bunch of people were mean to each other
2: Goose isn't really that malicious. She says crazy violent stuff with acid and things but most of her stereotypes were just put on her by the fandom
3: all the other episodes were bad. I've heard millions of complaints about ep4 through 8. Did she make the entire show to punish us?
4: She said that she wrote the whole plot in two weeks, then filled it in. Plus production takes aaaageeessss. She'd have to have decided to "punish the fandom" almost a year in advance, get approved by glitch to just turn the ending around so quickly, change future merchandise accordingly, and rewrite the script(that was said to have been finished/read around when ep5 came out).
The way adult fandom people hold indie online creators and cartoons to a much higher standard than their actual local politicians. You could be putting that energy into terrorizing and protesting conservatives at your town hall and actually make a good material impact on the world but instead you're background checking everything the trans woman who made the amazing digital circus has ever said
The point isn't "stop criticizing indie artists" or "defend your favorite show under this post". I don't even watch Digital Circus and no one is above criticism. Literally every indie show is getting torn to shreds on twitter right now and I'm not saying this to defend anyone I don't know. The point is "someone who actually has the power to kill us all and get away with it deserves way more ire and accountability than a cartoonist and I expect grown adults to understand this"
Babe wake up, new all time great image just dropped
In my experience, they tend to actually go with the way dumber option of "Okay so this means that, every time we pit the hare against the tortoise, the tortoise would win, and therefore a tortoise can also beat all the other animals a hare could ordinarily beat in a race"
"I should have made sure I got a full 16 hours the night before... this is Base Banana Slug I'm up against!"

Keeping up with complicated lawsuits that impact our lives can be really difficult! It makes sense that there’s misunderstandings or outdated info going around. Let's clear up some info about Texas v. Kennedy. Then, you can take action with our action alert! https://autisticadvocacy.org/2026/02/take-action-to-protect-disability-rights/
Update: As of May 12, South Dakota has also dropped out of the Texas v. Kennedy lawsuit. If you live in one of the 7 remaining states on the lawsuit (Alaska, Montana, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida), use our action alert to push your Governor and Attorney General to do the same!
