.: IT’S A NEW YEAR AND DEATH HASN’T COME FOR YOU YET. GIVE YOURSELF A CLAP ON THE BACK, CHAMP.
It’s been 8 months
Yeah, that's a... Really long time. I've been inactive for so long and honestly?? I don't think I'll be back. Not fully. I don't have the energy to roleplay in such a loose format anymore. Terribly sorry.
BUT! If you were still interested in RPing with me, and were willing to give a different medium a go, I'm setting up a Discord channel for RP. It will probably be clunky and awkward for a while, but I wanna try this, dammit. Inbox me or reblog or reply or whatever for details.
Evan was a whipping around the side of a bunch of large boxes when Habit jumped out. He had to admit he didn’t see the attacker throwing a bloody head at him. He let out a startled sound as he tried to sheild himself with a thin layer of ice in front of him but the head easily crashed through it, hitting him in his gut.
Evan fell back, nearly having the wind rush out of his lungs. But thankfully once he got his barrings again he got up and started looking for his attacker again. The person had a familiar voice, something that sounded eerily similar to his own but he shook his head. He hadn’t met another version of himself and he probably would think he jumped off the deep end if he did see there were multiple versions of himself.
“Enough games, motherfucker, come out and fight me like a man.”
.: That was enough time to duck into a small hiding spot, which would suit him for the moment. What good was a fight if he didn't have at least the element of surprise on his side? Well, he still had the upper hand, too - But he always had that. Only took a moment to slip the mask back onto his face, and chuckled deeply as he listening to the hiss of the filters. Next was his machete, which he gave a quick clean and inspection before he elected that it was good to go. Well, if it was a fight they wanted, it was a fight they'd get. Without a moments hesitation he left his small hidey hole and jumped straight out into the open - right before his frosty twin. There he idly shifted in place, hands out from his sides in boast.
"Aww did I kill your friend? Well, come on then. Get revenge. It'll be delicious."
Chris had been around long enough to know that when management wanted people from other areas of grim reaping that something was wrong. He had been in dying naturally causes and suddenly he was cleaning up after a murderer? It was shocking. But he didnt mind it to much- or at least he wouldn’t mind it to much if the murders weren’t so gross to look at. He was usually arriving to the scene after the murderer left to take the souls. But he was surprised to find the man still hovering over the body. Chris backed up, inhaling a bit as he watched the man silently. Waiting for the man to notice him. He shuffled a bit in his dark robe as he watched them. It was always so scary seeing someone willing to murder others on actions.
· .:· There were still things to be done, he still needed the final details. It wasn’t like he’d even finished getting the information he’d wanted - Which wasn’t really that big of a deal he supposed. Sure it’d be handy if tall dark and scary were around, but they weren’t. Oh well. Then, as he had the knife against the socket, a finger pulling the paling eye into view from behind the fleshy veil, a slow and intent incision is made slowly in and under the pale orb. Ever so carefully, with the delicacy of a surgeon - albeit as twisted as he is - he removes the severed eyeball from its mutilated home, checking it over for any damage. Satisfied with it’s condition, it is set aside for the moment. The next eye is to be removed, and he begins to hum cheerfully to himself behind the mask as he gets back to work, cracking his knuckles before exposing the remaining eye. He would quite readily repeat the process if something hadn’t seemed amiss. Instead he rose to his feet, knife firm in hand, and examined the scene beneath himself. This was the right person, yes. This was an empty lot, yes. There were no witnesses, check. A wheeze through the filter, he sniffed the air like an animal, and cracked his neck as his vision panned up.
“Didn’t your Momma teach ya t’ knock?!”
Chris seemed absolutely horrified at the scene in front of him. He wasn’t exactly a fan of eyes being taken out of their sockets in front of him. God…he was glad he normally worked in natural deaths now. The man swallowed nervously as habit looked around. All sense of safety was gone when it appeared the man could /smell/ him. He took a shaky breath and appeared out of the shadows. “And didn’t yours teach you that murdering is bad dude?”
.: The stranger -- Nay, intruder -- came into sight, and his eyes narrowed in animus. How dare anyone interrupt his work, and no less so obtusely, invading upon his space. Oh and the backtalk, he hissed in bile as they spoke to him - slowly shifting his body to face them, knife at the ready. Joints cracked ominously, a reflection of the decaying condition of the vessel he used. It was functional, and wasn't going to fall apart any time soon, that was evidently all he cared about. Stitches and staples weren't visible to the naked eye - nor the malice in the expression on his face behind the rubber gas mask - and yet still he exuded a sinister aura. Perhaps it was the blood that covered him and the corpse beneath him.
"Well it's what they all say as you snuff 'em out."

CHILL THE FUCK OUT KID.
Who the hell are you???
.: SOMEONE WHO THINKS YOU NEED TO DIAL IT BACK A BIT BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE NEEDS TO DO IT FORCEFULLY.
There was a moment of worry as he made his way to the legs. Obviously he was expecting more of the body there- he wasn’t sure if he should feel more horrified or relieved when it was just the lower half of them man. Either way it was fucking disgusting. He found himself wanting to scream or at least gasp but he heard himself laughing. God this was just so fucked up.
His laughing subsided and there was a brief moment where he wasn’t sure how to continue. Should he continue looking for the person who did this- or should he try to find the police? He knew the dup would capture him if he tried to go for help so it appeared his mind was made up. He began following the blood trail, eyes scanning for any sign of the intruder.
Ice began slithering its way further out ahead of Evan’s feet. The blood freezing over around him made the space easier to maneuver and a bit more comfortable. If he was going to hunt some murderer in the building he may as well freak them out a bit and be a bit more comfortable. It was better to not basically melt to death.
He lowered himself a bit, keeping his footsteps silent or…as silent as one can when they’re stepping on cracking, thin ice.
“Where are you motherfucker?” He whispered under his breath.
.: Not the first time he's had an ice rodeo. In fact, he thinks he knows this twin of his. Well... He supposes in that case, it wouldn't hurt to fuck with this Evan - It'd be funny, anyway. So he finishes hacking off the head and - quick as lightning - jumps up from his little vantage point, shouts "Think fast!", and tosses the decapitated pale head of poor old Tyler at him.
Which ought to leave plenty distraction for him to get somewhere else to mask up and sharpen the machete for a dance.
Evan didn’t remember the last time he felt comfortable. Every time he went outside it felt like he was in an oven. It had made it difficult to say the least. He had lost count of how many close calls with death he had due to being exposed to the son to long. But somehow, despite all odds he was still here.
Even with these…D.U.P agents running around looking for people with super powers. How they hadn’t caught him yet-he would never know. But thankfully there was snow on the ground, making his life just a little more bearable. He could actually feel comfortable walking places!
He turned the corner and entered the butcher shop he had gotten used to going to. The owner was a ‘conduit sympathizer’ whatever that meant. But he always had allowed Evan to run and hide in the back if the dups were on his tail. Not only that but the man had dragged him into the huge walk in freezer to save Evan’s life on more than one occasion.
He entered the store and he had to admit he was a little surprised when he didn’t hear the owner greet him right away. The man was hardly ever away from the counter. Evan shrugged it off, thinking that he had just gone to the back to get more meat. But upon closer inspection there was plenty in stock up front.
Evan pulled out his knife slowly from his belt and walked into the back. His eyes darting around nervously as he progressed.
“Hey, Tyler you back here brother?” He asked, knowing full well it wasn’t the brightest idea to reveal his presence.
Not only that but he was already starting to sweat a bit from the hear. Sure it wasn’t hot inside but it wasn’t below freezing. The longer he stayed here the worse it would get. The sooner he found Tyler the better. But around the time he thought that he noticed it…the trail of blood leading behind the machines and a pair of feet sticking out from behind it.
“Oh fuck.”
.: He was just polishing up when he heard the characteristic bell ring of the door opening and closing. That incessant chiming, an attempt to be quaint and dare he say it- "charming". A callback to times bygone and honestly better left that way. Why anyone would want to reminisce over a time before television and automatic weapons was totally beyond him. Oh well, he wasn't going to do much more reminiscing.
Listening to footfalls move, he hisses behind the mask and finishes sawing the upper body from the legs. There's an exceptionally brief gap of time between him shuffling to a deeper location and the intruder entering the back room. Blood smears across the floor in thick, oozing globs and puddles, starting to coagulate and decay already. Dragging a rapidly paling and stiffening corpse is a lot easier without the legs to worry about. From his new position, he begins to hack off the head. Though, now that this stranger was in the same room as him, their voice was surprisingly familiar. ... Well, all the more reason to try to just scare them off.
.: Wah wah LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME. I'm so FUCKING GREAT. I'M GONNA GET MY GODDAMN THROAT RIPPED OUT. pathetic
