"Your highness, how can you handle this heat?" -Knoll good deed

Lyon has half a mind to point out the difference in their clothing, but knows better and holds his tongue. still, it is an obvious difference – Knoll dons his same shrouding robes, hood up, while Lyon has opted for a thin blouse and slacks. this is one of the few times, these confident occasions in the heat of summer, the prince can be seen without his robes.
❝ it would help if you put your hood down, Celeste. the slight breeze from outside ruffles your hair and cools your scalp. ❞ he pauses, pursing his lips thoughtfully. ❝ i don’t think i’ve seen you without your hood, actually. how do you keep your hair? let me see! ❞
There is a hesitation, a breath of silence, that says more than the words that followed.
Lightweight clothes suited Lyon, Knoll thought. The way they caught the mild breeze was every bit as elegant that of his usual robes, perhaps more so. They accented his form, his shoulders and waist, and when his hair was caught in the sunlight it glinted like stars.
“It’s nothing particularly special,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around himself. “I just keep it in a lazy ponytail to keep it out of my way.”
A long moment of deliberation followed, but Knoll eventually reached up and slowly lowered his hood, letting his hair tumble out ungracefully. It felt nice when it caught the wind, but it didn’t capture the stars like Lyon’s did.
“You can see now why I keep it up,” he chuckled, “it’s as out of place as the rest of me.”
“Tell me, your highness, why is it again that we can’t go inside?”
