"That's...kind of awful, really.  I understand that people mourn in different ways.  But forgetting so easily?  There's...something wrong with that."

  Arms clasped around her a little tighter and  he laughed. Pressing his lips to her forehead, he gave her a reassuring kiss. He honestly didn’t hold it against her.

"It’s okay, alright? I don’t blame you  for hitting me.”

When he held on a little tighter, she actually felt herself relax against him.  Her eyes slid shut when  she felt his lips touch her forehead.  One of the  things she hated most in the world was being afraid.  And she wasn't proud of how she'd reacted to that fear, but she was grateful that Scott seemed to understand and not hold it against her.  Her cheek rested against him and she even managed to smile.

"Well, I'm going to try and not do that again if I'm  scared of something.  Maybe try and talk to you first, instead of reacting so...badly.  I just...don't want to lose you."
