⊱ ۫ ׅ my favorite character is varian (unique, i know...), but i truly love each of the characters!! particularly eugene, cassandra, and adira!! ((hugo if we wanna count vat7k !!)). i've been a tangled fan for as long as i can remember, but im just recently getting into the fandom space, so bare with me :P

Season 1 Varian will always be my favourite, he’s very special to me. There are so many cool things about him and his little arc that have driven me crazy for… 3 years next month !😵‍💫 He’s doomed by the narrative, he’s completely understandable, he is definitely unhinged. He’s terrifyingly competent, he’s a fourteen year old in the middle of a breakdown, he’s a vigilante terrorist, he just wants his dad back- yeah alright I could go on for a long while. The brain worms are so loud.

This was a sketch I brought into procreate with the intention of just colouring it, but I went a bit overboard with the cleanup lol. Finished piece it is! :D

I finally watched Heathers.

I know that we mostly view varigo as jdronica, but hey, i get why varian is veronica, but hugo as jd? uh... I mean varian is the one who tried to turn Corona into Vietnam, not Hugo. jdronica is more like varian x varian. Hugo would be personally offended if Var would see him like JD.

Hugo is a blond mythic bitch that Varian kinda wanted to kill. He's Heather Chandler.

IT DOESNT SUCK !! i like it :33 , but yeah trying to draw her for the first time was likeeee ridiculous 😭.. i really struggled with her scar, and also trying to color her hair similarly to how it is in her original design. it's some kind of grey and white swirlish pattern..? i dunno, hah..

this has reminded me that i should draw more vat7k art...

I know I'm not the only one who loves Flynn/Eugene's redemption arc in Tangled. How he goes from shameless hedonism and greed to genuine compassion and selflessness, to the point where even as he's being led to his death, all that's on his mind is Rapunzel and how much danger she's in under Gothel's iron grip.

But it wasn't until my most recent rewatch that I realised Maximus has an arc that parallels Eugene's!

Right when Eugene is completing his transformation from swashbuckling outlaw to righteous hero, Maximus goes from being a rigid stick-in-the-mud Javert to chaotic good vigilante, busting a notorious career criminal out of prison on their execution day.

This goddamn horse has no lines of dialogue at all, and somehow they didn't just give him an arc, they gave him an arc in the opposite direction of the deuteragonist's arc and aligned both arcs to pay off at the same time, and all of that makes me so happy 😂 I can't believe I never noticed the synchronicity before and I love this movie so much more now because of it ❤️
