Taking a deep breath, Lily just went with gut feeling. She used the Nephilim strength she was born with a pushed Dwalin against the wall, kissing him on the mouth.Â
Dwalin was taken aback, to say the least, moved so quickly and with such force that for a moment, he wasn't sure it was real.
But slowly his wits returned, and he found himself eager to return the kiss. Lily had instigated it, and well, Dwalin supposed it had been a while, so if such a pretty, kind lass was wanting, he'd be happy to oblige.
He broke the kiss for air, finally, eyes scanning Lily's with curiosity, "Dunno yer own strength, hmm lass?" He smirked, raising a callused hand to card through Lily's fiery hair.
//aaaaand off to work bye
A Job | Dwalin & Ora
“Naples,” Ora said, and though she did not say just who the clients were she had no doubt in her mind that Dwalin knew who exactly who the delivery was being made to.
She didn’t often work with the Italian mafia as they were not fond of Greeks, but for such a large shipment it was difficult to turn down the pay - which the smuggler would recieve a hefty portion of. Stoneheart Co. had done business with them in the past but generally she tried to avoid them as they did so much work with her brother. It had seemed strange to her that they had approached her rather than him, but the woman supposed it was because she conducted her business with much more finesse than Orrak. And this job required much finesse as rather than drugs, or weapons, they were smuggling a particularely expensive and famous painting that had been auctioned off to one of the Dons that one of Ora’s teams had procured from a museum in New York.
“I do want to warn you, however, that it is not only the authorities who will be trying to get a hold of the cargo,” she said, easing herself down into her chair and swiftly crossing her legs. “My beloved brother may make an appearance. As such, I will be… tagging along. To keep a close eye on things.”
Dwalin's mouth drew into a thin line, the only thing changing on his otherwise neutral features. But he heard Ora out, a few times going back to the file for reference.
When she finished, he eased back into his chair, placing the file on his lap. "Suppose it's good t' know I won't be thrown t' the sharks alone," he said with a smirk, "though it's no surprise ye called me in fer this. I've always been fond of art." His words were punctuated by a smirk, his comment clearly a blatant lie. Dwalin wouldn't know the difference between Manet and Monet if you slapped him in the face with an art history textbook.
"So when d' we leave?" It was a job he knew he could do, though it was not without its dangers, and Dwalin sincerely hoped Orrak would be keeping his dirty hook-nose out of it.
Lily blinked, “No! I couldn’t do that! Please let me pay you back. You name it,” she had meant to leave out the last part. She swallowed the lump in her throat, looking up at him from under her eyelashes.Â
"Lass," Dwalin began, placing the cleaner of his two hands on her arm, "Truly, ye owe me nothin'." The last word was a little shaky, caught off guard by the way she looked at him.
"... Unless ye had somethin' in mind." It may have been a risky thing to ask, but clearly something was alight in Lily's mind.

//As far as I’m concerned, no there are not. Obviously I can’t stop you, cause it’s your choice, your blog, but obviously there are a lot of people who would be sad to see you go. You shouldn’t let one dickbag bring you down.
//It only takes one bullet to take a life. Words are powerful things. Words hurt more than many a weapon. In fact, words are the deadliest weapons of all if one knows how to wield them in their favour. We’d be so less fragile if we built a armour for our tender bodies and turned our hearts to steel. But alas, we’re not made of iron, we’re only human, and words are sharp, they dig deep and they hurt. So yeah. One dickbag is enough to blow a house of cards to the ground, even when twenty people helped building it.
//Okay. Valid point. Probably the best expressed point about people being assholes I've seen. But even so, there are people here, beyond myself, who clearly would be very sad to see you go. Like I said, in the end it's your choice, but the least I can do is try to persuade you not to go, because I honestly think you're very good at what you do, and if you decide not to stand up for yourself, I (and others) will. I don't know you well enough to say much more, but from the little I do know, I know you don't deserve to be dicked about by some knob.
Sure, one person can blow down a house of cards, but that doesn't mean someone else won't come by to help you build it up again.
I hope you decide to stay, if not, I hope to see you around elsewhere and will add that I feel like we're genuinely losing a perfect Anders rper.
Dwalin, son of Fundin by ~studiomia
Lily's face flushed completely red but she kept still, "Um no..no, It's fine. Sorry, Â should have moved," she babbled for a moment. Taking a deep breath she felt the heat fall out of her face then she reached out an touched his arm, "Umm thanks for fixing it so quickly."
"Eh, yeah. No problem." He stood, clearing his throat, obviously affected by what had just happened. "Listen, it's on me. Ye don't owe me anythin'. Easy fix. Y'know."
She held up her hands in front of her, "Hey no problem there. I just want the banging to stop," she answered walking into the kitchen and peering over his shoulder. Â
Dwalin didn't expect her to be so invested in what he was doing, but he allowed it, pulling out a massive wrench in which he unfastened the large bold holding the pipes together. "Right then." He said to himself, wiggling the connecting pipe out of place and giving everything a good look. "Ah," he muttered, digging through his bag for a nasty looking rag and a few other tools, getting right down to work.
Within a few minutes, the pipes were reassembled. "Good as n-" he went to turn to face her, instead catching a face full of Lily's chest, pulling back cautiously. "Shite. 'M sorry, lass!"
"Yeah that's it," she answered standing to the side of the doorway, biting her lip to keep from making avery inappropriate comment. Â More of along the lines of "Forget the kitchen the bedroom needs breaking in," she thought but kept it to herself.
Dwalin raised a brow at her reaction, stepping past her into the kitchen, his arm barely brushing hers. Once inside, he set down his toolbox and examined the sink.
"Shouldn't take long, this." He looked back to Lily. "So long as ye don't poke around at it in future." He smirked, giving her a wink.
A Job | Dwalin & Ora
Ora turned, lips quirked into the barest hint of a smile as she laid eyes on Dwalin. The last time they had spoken, it had not been an amiable conversation, but it was in the past and the woman tried not to hold grudges in her line of work - it was bad for business.
“I do,” she said, matching his professional tone though her expression was one of amusement. They had been on better terms, years ago, but it appeared Dwalin was unsure of where she stood. Waving a pale hand at the chair next to him, she bid him to sit as she slid a file towards him.
There was a reason beyond reconciling with the smuggler that had prompted her to contact him. Dwalin was the best, plain and simple, and the fact of the matter was she didn’t trust anyone else to complete such an important job.
“I recently… acquired something rather valuable and it would be rather unfortunate for a very important client of mine if the authorities were to be made aware of it.”
Dwalin sat on command, though he hardly bothered to get comfortable, leaning forward to retrieve the file and study its contents.
"Sounds like my kind o' job." He said plainly, idly flipping through the documents as he scanned them. "Where 'm I taking it to, then?" His eyes lifted from the paperwork and back to Ora's, daring to make prolonged eye contact. He didn't really give a shit what it was, so long as he got it to where it needed to be. Honestly, sometimes he was better off not knowing. Knowing had landed him in trouble in the first place, and he had dipped a little too far into quite the motherload of premium cocaine. Too much for the recipient's, and thusly Ora's liking, apparently.
Yes, things had been better between them long ago, but it was nice to see that Ora knew who the best in the business was, and wouldn't let a grudge sully either of their respective "careers". Dwalin had paid his debts, but they both knew that there was still some bad blood.
Lily nodded then shut the door leading him up the stairs, “I’m kind of glad that you came when you did my sink started sputtering again. I had it fixed a week ago and now it nearly got me soaked. I had to change clothes,” She was fairly amused that he probably having to stare at her ass as she kept a few steps a head of him. And oh did she like it that way.
"Mmhmm," Dwalin replied, far too preoccupied by the shapely ass in front of him. In fact, the only words he heard were "came, sink," and "soaked".
He was, admittedly, a little regretful when they reached the top of the stairs, but also a little glad that he no longer had a very nice arse distracting him from his work. "In here then?" He tilted his head to what was obviously the kitchen area.
"Oh, right, yeah," she said blushing and holding the door open for him to come in. "My flat's upstairs," said."
Dwalin nodded, stepping inside. "Up we go, then." He smiled down to her, quite enjoying the height difference and the way her cheeks flushed as such.

Scratching an' biting. 'Specially biting on my ears.
Lily finished yanking the tight t-shirt over her head and ran down the stairs, “Coming,” she yelled, hitting the last step and pulling the door open, “Hi there,” she smiled, putting her hand on her hip, just making sure she did put on her favorite jeans. She did.
Dwalin was caught of guard by the speed at which the door flew open, and he was left smiling like a bit of an idiot. "Hi," was as much as he managed, pausing before awkwardly gesturing toward the inside of the house, "Shall we then?"
He made a very difficult point of ignoring how tight those jeans were, and how good they looked on Lily.
Lily winked, “See ya then,” she answered then pulled her bag onto her shoulder and walked on down the street back to work.
Several hours later, Dwalin found himself outside the door of the address noted on his phone. It was well enough past four that Lily would have had time to get home, but not so late as to make her think that he was a no-show.
Stuffing his phone into his jacket pocket, he knocked on the door and waited.
