????? I THOUGHT I LEFT THEM BE LONG ENOUGH. THEY WOULDN'T DRY. HOW THE HECK DO YOU DRY THESE THINGS. I TRIED EVERYTHING. I THOUGHT THE USUAL 40°C WEATHER WOULD CAUSE THEM TO DRY ON THEIR OWN. They're sticking on the fridge by the way.

I'm actually just sad. Why. I sculpted them with my friends and in the time they'd created around 7 pieces, I'd just finished 2. That's because I put so much effort into making them!!! I NAMED THEM!!! THE KEROPPI ONE WAS KEROKERO AND THE OTHER ONE WAS FROBERT. THEY WERE MY CHILDREN AND THEY'RE NOW SQUISHED....... NO TALK ME I'M SADGE.

I tried fixing them the best I could, and.

...well, an attempt was made. (I forgot how to sculpt them)

Before I tried fixing them, I was trying to get them off the fridge and my mom was like "what are you doing" and I told her I wanted to fix them and she. Jokingly pretended to squish Frobert's eyes together. Forgetting that they weren't dry at all. And. Well. Let's just say she murdered an already dead Frobert. KAHDKSJ I didn't take a pic because it hurt so bad AHAHAHA All is good though... Tried fixing them and. Well. They're ugly but I love them all the same.

Now the funny thing is that I was so braindead from speedrunning that article that I grabbed the hairdryer and tried drying them that way. WHILE KNOWING THAT THEY WOULDN'T DRY ON THEIR OWN. MEANING THEY ARE NOT AIR DRY CLAY. I showed my friend a picture of me just attempting to dry them with the hairdryer and she was like "you dumbass that's plasticine, they won't dry like that" and then I tried touching them and they. Got even more squishy. And uh. I looked it up and. I was supposed to put them in the fridge. SHAKDJSJDKB Well. I am stupid. Yes I said I was going to search the web about the clay I used before actually attempting anything. Guess what I did? I forgot to do that...................

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! (though it's late)

What are your resolutions for 2026? Mine sounds simple but is actually hard to achieve.. to get better and better at drawing. And to be honest, you being productive these days is what motivates me to draw more and more.

In my opinion, one of the ways to overcome art block is to look at other people's artworks and analyze them, although I honestly rarely do this because of how lazy I am. Pay attention to what makes them stand out, what you like from them (and what you're lacking at) and try to put what you see into practice.

For instance, I'm a big fan of your drawings and it's not enough for me to stare at them for just 5 seconds. I've been secretly trying to figure out what I like most about your art. I'm amazed by the way you draw face proportions like the shapes and the placements, and how you manage to make it look balanced. Not to mention the fact that you keep forgetting to flip the canvas (that's what I've heard) which is actually very impressive. It's hard for me to make such things without doing that cheat- I mean trick.

Another thing I like about your art is how you draw character interactions, which is something I've never done. Drawing two people on one canvas without it looking like two separate images put together is VERY difficult and takes much effort, yet you managed to give the characters personalities that make them feel alive, and I love how creative the ideas are.

Also the way you color, it's got vibes. It reminds me of crystals. 💎

Oooh, this is a looong one, so expect an answer just as long (or even longer)...

So! Resolutions, huh... To be honest with you, I've never really thought about that stuff JSJRKFK I'm not the kind of person that thinks about the future much, and that includes resolutions... I just do what I can at the moment and see where that takes me. (This is also because I never end up following through my plans, if I ever have one. So long-term plans basically never work out for me) Ideally, I'd like to get straight A's, draw more, write more... Experiment more (which is something I've been doing a lot recently, both in the drawing and writing department) and also do more and more research, since that's the career path I want to pursue!

Yeah, very non-specific answer, I know... Like I said, I never really think about these things, and going into the specifics will only mean that I'll never end up following through LOL.

Oooh the thing about overcoming art block is interesting, because I overcome mine in a very different way. Analyzing works, to me, is also part of the work JSJRKEJ so I prefer to relax if I ever have creative block. I consume others' works and enjoy them, but I won't analyze the techniques used or anything like that (besides, art is just a hobby for me, I don't really take it seriously JSKDKEJ so I'm not as deep into it as I am writing). That's a really cool way to overcome it, though, and I can tell you take art very seriously, which is amazing! I can tell you have a lot of passion for it.

SHDJKRKEJ THANK YOU??? SO MUCH????? For the really sweet words????? I admit I'm a bit surprised you think so... I actually consider my own drawings... lacking, in that department. What I mean is—I have a bit of a... same face syndrome. Surely you're familiar with that LOL. And I'm really bad at drawing light/happy expressions. The closest I can go is a soft smile. So it's surprising to see that you like the way I draw faces. As for proportions, it all comes from my instincts LOL I don't really use guidelines for the face (unless it's a particularly troublesome angle). I'm the type that draws the eyes first, then the nose, then the chin/mouth (this one depends)... Of course, a lot of adjustments have to be done afterwards. Can't say I'm able to draw this way traditionally, though...

AND. HELP. NOT THE CANVAS FLIPPING SJRKEJRK LOOK.... I ALWAYS FORGET ABOUT IT UNTIL LAST MINUTE, OKAY? most of the time, I'm so focused on zooming in that I tend to be blind to any proportional errors, until I save the drawing and I can see it zoomed out (the bigger picture)... So it is NOT something to be amazed about JSKFKEKDH because I keep adjusting things when I'm supposed to be finished with the drawing. </3 I'll try to remember doing it more...

A trick to not making it look like they're two characters from separate canvases put together is....... to have them interact! No, not just through dialogue bubbles and stuff. Make them interact. Give them some proximity, make them react to one another, draw the poses like it's meant to be for 2 people instead of 1. An easier way to imagine it is like... in a comic. 2 characters interacting in a single panel. Surely they'll acknowledge each other in that one panel. Hopefully you get the gist of it WJRJEJRK I'm admittedly new to drawing comics like this myself (okay that's a lie I used to draw a lot of comics when I was little, but we don't talk about that)... I still have much to learn, myself </3 so do take my advice with a grain of salt JSJFKFK

CRYSTALS... I've heard that one a few times. Hard candy, watercolour, crystals... It's so interesting to me because I never think about these things, and my colouring is SUPER inconsistent, because I get bored of my own techniques and brushes SO FAST... WKFJEK so I can never have a consistent style. I just prefer experimenting with it... It's so interesting when people tell me I still have a distinctive way of colouring even though I'm super inconsistent with it.
