Today is January 25th, which coincides with Japan's record low temperature day. To warm up on cold days, people eat pancakes - hence today being designated as "Pancake Day." The stamp being featured is part of the "World of Picture Books Series Volume 5" (issued in 2021), showcasing scenes from Ken Wakayama's beloved children's book "Shirobama-chan’s Pancake."
