i wonder if
you still try
to call my old number,
if you wonder
if i’m still
waiting for you
right where
you left me.
i wonder about those yellow roses.
i feel sorry for that girl
(the one that you knew).
with the nervous smile
and racing heart,
the one who could never
tell you no.
no,
the number i left
in your yearbook
isn’t mine anymore.
and i’m far from
where you left me;
and yellow isn’t my color anymore.

ocean eyes.
“remember somebody loves you,” she says to me.
her hand grips mine so softy,
her wrinkled skin under my thin fingers.
her eyes were so light that day,
her hair almost white in the sunlight.
she had aged like the finest of wines.
i almost couldn’t believe she could be gone.
and anger still stabs at my throat
knowing the sun still rises without her.
how unfair, it seems, that life goes on
when someone so lively is no longer here to live it.

cold coffee.
happy valentine’s day.🤍
easily forgotten.
my annual birthday poem (a few weeks late). here’s to 24.🌻
you said to send you a poem...
Coffee House
Girls standing
chatting
looking.
Coffee sifting
grinding
steaming.
Music playing
clashing
crashing.
Minds sharing
begging
hearing.
Imaginations soaring
soaring
flying.....
.
this is beautiful. thank you for sharing this with me.🫶🏻🌻
i found
one of your shirts
buried deep
in my closet.
i held it close to my chest,
as if i was holding you,
and lifted up to my nose,
as if it would still smell like you.
it didn’t.
it almost felt wrong
to hold it in my arms
after forgetting about it
for so long.
for so long
it would be the one
sleeping next to me
in bed,
all those lonely nights
without you.
i never knew where
you went.
i held it close to me
just one last time
before hiding it away
once again.
maybe one day
i can say
goodbye
for good.
koko.poetry
for so long
i felt
my place in
this world
was by
your side.
but you’re not
around anymore,
and i feel
more at home
than ever
before.
koko.poetry
to be loved
by you
is to be loved
by the
sea
and tonight
i am
drowning in
you.
koko.poetry
tired from reaching.
this summer
it seems
i have done
nothing
but wander
aimlessly
under the
desert sun,
searching
and
longing
for the shelter
i found
in your
arms.
koko.poetry
i begin again.
no matter how far.
and so selfishly
i have been
searching for you
in everyone
i meet;
from the worms
outside my door
to the strangers
on the street.

freckled rose.
oh, and i wish
i could forget
how much
i used to
love you,
but i’m afraid
my ears
will always perk up
when i hear
your name.
