Jaskier may be very annoying at times, very extravagant and a lover of flowery language, and he may love being humorous and dramatic - especially in the scene right before this one, where he claims that he shall die a brokenhearted man; but when he realises something really is wrong with Geralt, he immediately drops his attitude and tries to make Geralt talk about his feelings, about what's going on in his life, about what's wrong. He looks so painfully concerned in this scene, so absolutely worried by what may plague Geralt's heart. I didn't really see anyone talking about this scene and I just wanted to point this out. Again, his face.. and his tone.. so soft and concerned.

Bucky’s Apartment

was oriented intentionally by Bucky. The mattress could cover the window when flipped,

the cinderblocks held relatively empty shelves,

the table was situated so that it could be flung and wedged against the door.

Even the floormat was placed to be used as a defensive weapon.

I imagine Bucky sitting on the mattress, reading or writing under the yellow glow from the lap in the corner.

Like, I literally think about his green spatula and that red thermos CONSTANTLY. Did he pick the green spatula out himself? Did he think it was cute? Or was it something he just acquired out of convenience? Does he use that thermos? Does he put soup in it? Does he fill it with coffee and sit in a park and drink it while feeding birds?!?!

Yes, he bought that green spatula for himself, he loved it, and the red (silicone?) mitt on the stove (and the cute curtain hiding the under-cabinet). The thermos is absolutely used for exactly those purposes.

he also has a pink (?) radio and two chairs, the radio is visible in the gif below as well as the still (where you’ll see the chairs).

I spy more notebooks and possibly a couple of other reading materials besides the couple of days worth of papers.

Meta: he had enough money for the apartment, but little for anything else. He’s been he’s been picking up things here and there. It seems mismatched and haphazard, but a lot of this was also chosen because it made him smile when he found it.

And he comes from the “Make Do” era. I’m pretty sure Bucky would have a hard time understanding people discarding a sofa instead of repairing one cushion (if you notice the sofa, it has wonderfully mismatched cushions). Just ‘rescuing’ it must have felt exhilarating.

I found a model kitchen for a tenement. Of course, as all model homes, probably not 100% representative of Bucky’s place coming up in the 30′s.

the flower towel folded all neat and tidy over an appliance probably what his ma used to do way back when; air drying and hand washing it because he has no washer/dryer.

I also stopped a lot during that scene when I watched it the other day because I wanted to know how he lives now and something that is actually not that important but I still like to remember it is that there were like half eaten bags of chips and chocolate bars and also bowls plates on the counter which means that he had eaten from them recently and hadnt put them away yet and idk… just the thought of Bucky sitting in his apartment eating a bowl of cereal or from a bag of chips on one hand makes me sort of sad because he is so alone and isolated the whole time but I’m also glad that he has managed to get back into almost civilian life and he’s gradually becoming more human again. Bucky’s apartment was the best thing the marvel studio has done in Civil War.

Bucky is absolutely That Granny. He’s also very picky about what seeds he feeds them (maybe he visits a community garden or has a rooftop/balcony garden where he grows seeding plants – the flowers are nice and as a bonus the birds also visit him).
