Hey, so I know a lot of artists out there are looking for good mobile solutions for maximizing their workflow and being able to take their work with them on the go and stuff, and not everybody can afford wacom’s admittedly outrageous pricepoints, and I’ve been doing a LOT of research and watching a lot of reviews and I have stumbled onto something that might be what you guys are looking for!
It’s the Chuwi Hi13!
It has a dual-functionality OS so you can choose between Android (tablet mode) or Windows 10 (PC mode/tablet mode) and it has 1024 levels of penpressure which honestly is pretty comparable to most mid to low end wacom tablets.
For those of you concerned about pen pressure - my mobilestudio pro 13 has like 8k levels of penpressure or something insane like that and I absolutely cannot tell the difference between the pen pressure sensitivity on this thing and my old bamboo. It is pretty much just something fancy that they put on the box to impress you. It’s like seeing a game run past 60fps - your eyes won’t be able to tell, it’s a bragging point.
Anyway, the Chuwi Hi13 clocks in at - get this - UNDER 400$. That’s less than most yiynova and huawei tablets! That’s an INSANE bargain, and all of the reviews I’ve seen on this tablet have been overwhelmingly positive.
I really, REALLY recommend this thing if you’re looking for a mobile solution! It doesn’t seem to have the same issues that the Microsoft Surface tablets have with pen jitter which is an overwhelming relief because I know so many people cannot stand the surface tablets for that reason.
The only downside that I can honestly see is that this tablet comes with only 64gb of disk space, but I’m PRETTY sure you can expand it by popping a 256gb SD card into the SD card slot and leaving it there.
Anyway, it’s something to think about! Hopefully this will be helpful to someone.
