Reblog and put in the tags how you’d feel about being proposed to in public
do y'all wanna hear some drama
okay so basically some tech bro named chris evans (not the actor) founded this program of sorts called "skip the interview" where candidates can crowdfund money from their former co-workers (referred to as 'sponsors') to skip the entire interview process and begin work immediately. with the minimum donation being... fifty dollars...
and with companies requiring an upwards of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to essentially buy your way into a job...
ON TOP OF THAT, if you stay employed with them for more than two months, your SPONSORS (not you) get DOUBLE the amount of what they invested!
also there's this lil nugget too lmao
the website (now gone but here's a web archive link) got posted to twitter which then gained traction on a subreddit called r/recruitinghell where people rightfully dragged this guy to hell and back. so much that the ceo HIMSELF got on reddit to make a comment:
and now like i said the website is gone and i just think this whole thing is extremely funny.

real people being partially closeted or ambiguous about their own sexuality while making Gay Art is not queerbaiting
Real people figuring out they’re queer through the process of making gay art is not queerbaiting either
#real people not telling you everything about themselves is allowed
People who think this planet was created for humans to be ours are so wild to me
70% of the planets surface is undrinkable uninhabitable death water that sharks love. How is that a human-centric design.
the earth was created for various types of crabs
wish yall would stop calling rejection of mainstream beauty expectations as “embracing ugliness” :(
just bcs i dont wear makeup doesnt mean im “raw” and “embracing my ugliness” im literally just existing… sorry 2 hear about ur messed up self esteem but dont project your issues onto me…
this isn't a big deal but stop letting these gays on social media guide you. nothing is gay culture. everything is gay culture. no need to buy fugly clothes and pins just because. if you don't wear rainbow top to bottom you're still a part of the community. clothes can be used to be a means of expression of your identity, but they're not a tool with which to focus on one part of you in a way which is easy to consume for others. it's a beautiful sentiment to find togetherness in this community, of course, but you can do that by being friends and being there for each other and by being a good person. help others. that's the meaning of community. not cold coffee.

White feminists really just say "Afghan men suck" and call it a day like there arent dozens of ethnic and religious groups in the country who will be, at best, severely oppressed, and at worst tortured and killed by the Taliban. Like being a man if you're Hazara or any ethnicity and Shia isn't going to help much, and those men certainly aren't "supporting the Taliban treatment of women" or whatever ghoulish shit these people are making up. Like I'm begging Americans to learn about the existence of more than one ethnic group in the Middle East, but most won't because it makes it harder to have your racism sound woke.
tbh whenever white women speak on issues of imperialism it really becomes obvious that they have a vested interest - consciously or not - in imperialist projects and you can’t talk about how brown women are particularly at risk during wars and intense political turmoil without showing your racist asses by yourself singling out brown men bc guess what? marginalising them proves that you only see them as aggressors. when they aren’t they’re invisible to you, literally not even worth a footnote. there’s nothing disingenuous about pointing that out and you need to do some soul searching before women of colour take u seriously bc that’s their family members and friends and neighbours and community members you’re sidelining for your white saviour narrative… anyways what’s new in white imperialist feminism land anyways
