Elijah furrowed his brows and tilted his head to the side, “Davina?” he asked, a small smile pulling at his lips for a moment. He nodded in agreement, “Far too long…perhaps we should pass a law,” he chuckled. “One of us must have a new child every 5 years,” he joked, smiling. “We can start a wheel,” he laughed before he looked down at his daughter again, sighing a little as he reached out and brushed his fingers through her dark feathery hair.

His eyebrows furrowed in a similar fashion to his older brother’s, “Yes, Davina is a lot better at gift picking than myself - she will probably get something for both Hayley and this little one.” Kol’s eyes drifted back to Emma with a smile plastered onto his features. “Though I rather like that idea brother, I do not think my children would be thrilled.” He chuckled, “Perhaps a dartboard would be a fun idea.” He suggested to his Elijah.

“Everyone has someone that is their person, I was lucky enough to have that be you. I would never ask you to compromise your happiness for me, you being happy is what makes me happy.”

“I love our children and I would never want any harm to come to them but Hope’s spell will keep them safe - I would prefer them to not resent me as I did my parents or to be controlled by a lust for blood that my siblings and I have encountered so many times.”

“We’ll find it, Kol,” She said before kissing his cheek softly, “let’s just focus on finding something, first.”

Kol exhaled when at ease from the kiss on his cheek, “I know we will but I have to make it up to them, especially Eric, he never wanted this.” He added.

“I can help,” she said hopefully, “between the two of us me should be able to find something.” She gave him a small.

“There has to be something we can find,” he reached for her hand, a small curve lifted to his lips, “and when we do find it, I wish to use both our powers to try to cure our children of this curse - they should not have to pay for my mother’s mistakes or subsequently mine.”

Davina’s smile fell slowly, though she didn’t really notice. “Are you trying to find a cure?” She kept her eyes on her husband, studying his features, like she had a billion times before.

Kol’s eyes dropped to the table for a moment, he was unsure on how to explain his motives but deep down, he knew that his wife was aware of his desires. “Yes,” his eyes darted back to her, not wanting to seem hesitant, “there has to be another.”

“What if I turn out like them? What if it’s in my nature?”

“I am like neither of my parents and yet that is nature as well as nurture. You might have the blood of another in your veins but you are truly your fathers’ daughter. Do not let your worries consume you - otherwise your nightmares will come true.”

Davina smiled. “You are too sweet.” She looked over at her husband. “Of course not, Kol. What’s up?”

Kol smiled but it was hardly visible as he thought about how to explain his request to Davina, “It is no secret that I do not care for this form though being a vampire has it’s advantages, it is not what I am meant to be.” He began by confessing to her about his skepticism.

Elijah smiled, “I believe she would appreciate the gesture,” he said quietly as he shifted on his feet as he looked down at his daughter again. “No it is not, and i believe she’s asleep anyway…that’s the only way I get to hold my daughter…Halyey is quite attached already, she doesn’t let her leave her arms…perhaps because we haven’t had a newborn in so long.” WHen Kol said the same thing about him being lucky he nodded, “Trust me I know…and I do not take any moment for granted,” he laughed.

Kol nodded to his brother, “Take it as my gift to her for bringing this little one into the World though I’m sure Davina has something instore from the both of us,” he added with a smile as he watched his brother revel in his daughter’s presence. “It has been too long since a newborn has been in this family although the attachment has it’s advantages - this way we will all know she is always safe, not that I or any of us would allow anything to happen.” Despite being trapped in the town, there were still some reservations in his mind as to what danger the family was still in. “I never doubted you would, brother.” He managed a chuckle at the sound of his brother’s joy.
