“Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi’s life. So you might say, that we are encouraged to love.“ - anakin skywalker; attack of the clones

“The hair thing is so emotional for me. About a year ago, I called my colorist and was like, “I’m going through so much emotionally. I need a reset. I need you to bleach my hair.” This has been really important for me, as a 27- and 28-year-old, to show myself every morning when I get up that I’m not someone who is going to live in the past. When it’s time for Neon Hayley to come back to life, she will. But right now, this is me.”

“In every corner of being alive right now, you find this conversation around mental health and what we’re doing to better ourselves—or what we’re not doing. For me, for the last two years, I was in huge denial about my depression. I knew I was sad, I knew that I had been through some shit, but I was like, I’m handling it, I’m handling it.” Hayley Williams for Nylon Magazine, 2019 © Lindsey Byrnes
