Anthrax made two stops at the Beacon Theatre (Manhattan, NY) during their “Among The Living Tour.” This is a shot from their first visit on June 5, 1987. They would return six months later on December 8, with Celtic Frost & Exodus serving as the opening acts.
May 6, 1994 - Motorhead / Daisy Cutter / Buzzkill - Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ
Twenty-five years ago today I had my hearing destroyed while seeing Motorhead for the first time. Sebastian Bach jumped on stage during their set(almost getting thrown off by an overzealous bouncer in the process) and added vocals to “Born To Raise Hell.” The show was originally scheduled for the Stone Pony Big Top, but was relocated to the club stage.
April 5, 1985 Nuclear Assault headlines a night of crossover insanity at The Showplace in Dover, NJ. Supporting the bill were Seizure, Mental Abuse & Mayhem (also known as NYC Mayhem).
March 26, 1986 Black Sabbath & W.A.S.P. at the Centrum, Worcester, MA. (Ad found in The Boston Phoenix-February 18, 1986)
March 8, 1986 The Violent Femmes at the Orpheum Theatre, Boston, MA. (Ad found in the February 18, 1986 edition of The Boston Phoenix.)
March 4, 1995 Record release party for Crown Of Thornz’ “Train Yard Blues” EP at Coney Island High in Manhattan, NY. H2O kicked things off (they only had a handful of shows under their belt at this point & I believe this was their first Manhattan gig), followed by Outcrowd and Cold As Life. (Flyer from personal collection.)
March 4, 1978 Meatloaf at The Palladium, New York, NY (Found in the Village Voice, February 13, 1978)
