“Don’t you uhh…normally use red bean for these?” Chikage replied. “That involves making the red bean paste then…troublesome, but anything for the one that’s most important for me…”

“Yes, red bean is usually made. It’s also harder but…” Her eyes softened with Chikage’s words. “Mhmmm, I see.”

“This’ll make it all the sweeter.” Looks like Togo already had a pack of red beans for this.

“You’re prepared for everything, aren’t you?” Chiakge replied, carefully following Tougou’s instructions. “I’m pretty decent at making food, but I don’t think I ever made something this...elaborate. Still, when you think about making food for someone you love like this...it has a warm feeling.”

Hardgore Hero

Ako had been recently contacted by the Taisha.  They were apparently aware of her magical girl abilities and asked her to come and be a part of their ‘Hero Club.’  Having arrived at the school Ako timidly opened the clubroom door.

“So you’re the new member, huh?” Chikage looked up from her Switch and stared at Ako. “Unfortunately, the club members aren’t here yet. They’re out doing some charity or something weird, I’m only asked to man the fort until they get back.”

Ako shuffled into the club room and looked at the girl.  Well, at the girls feet, but still at the girl.  “N-Nice to meet you… I’m Ako Hatoda.  Um… I’m sorry was I supposed to meet with the others?  The people in white didn’t explain much to me…”  Ako explained looking a bit worried.

“They don’t explain much...or tell much to people. Only the bare minimum of information.” Chikage replied curtly. “...Chikage, Chikage Koori.You were just transferred in, so probably not. They’ll come around later. I’m...initially...not from here myself, for the lack of a better term.” She couldn’t just explain she was from the past, couldn’t she?

“Hm..a lot of games. Fighting games, FPS, RPG, puzzle…tabletop…a lot of games. Any game will do as long as it distracts me.” Chikage took the bait, as Sonoko’s cheerful aura managed to draw her in. “I also don’t mind playing rhythm games and whatnot. You don’t look like the type, but I can tell you play a lot of games. What do you like?”

“Hmmm~.” Sonoko hummed in response, briefly sorting through the kind of games she liked. The seriousness of her mock contemplative expression given away by her customary playful tune.

“I like stuff you can play with other people. But I also like puzzles, strategy, and some RPGs~. And it’s more like a book than a game, but visual novels are fun too~.”

“A varied taste, not bad, not bad.” Chikage replied. “Your ancestor was mostly stuck with multiplayer games because she wanted to hang out with me, but you’re clearly more refined. Sometimes, visual novels aren’t bad too...they can be a medium of storytelling that cannot be achieved by other means.”

"Chikage senpai." Walking slowly up to the girl Rose's eyes glared slightly at her Kouhai, did she ask for help making chocolate to get closer to Chikages heart? Handing forward two boxes of chocolates, Rose's containing pieces shaped off of different arcade sprites while Violets were more basic. "Happy Valentines day!"

“This was made for me? I don’t think I deserve such kindness...” Chikage gracefully accepted their presents. “Thank you, it means a lot.”

"Chikage-senpai." Clutching to a small blanket in her hands, Violet looked to the ground in shame to try and hide the tears from that nights nightmare played fresh in her mind. "Can I sleep in here tonight?"

“Having difficulty sleeping, right? I’m going to be awake for awhile, but I’ll dim the brightness and try to type quietly for you so you can fall asleep easily.”

Chikage I offer you this. a bouquet of Roses you can either keep or give to someone you care about.

“I’ll split it into half somehow and give them both to Takashima-san and Rose, thanks.”

"Why do you spend time with that girl? She's a nobody who has to rely on everyone and plays the pity card." Says a random schoolgirl as she passes by the hero.

It took a lot of willpower for Chikage to not manifest her hero form here and now. “I’m not sure why you’re saying this to me, or when my status improved to the point where I wasn’t the topic of rumors, but I was once in her position. I’m not letting anybody else be in the same spot where I was.”

Chikage, Gin or Tama?

“I’m only going to say Tama because she’s close to my age, I’m not even sure what this question is about. Gin is an elementary schooler and shouldn’t get involved with this.”
