Views of Lotte Tower.
Korea’s tallest building, scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, is controversial.
I like it, though. This is partly because I’m partial to futuristic architecture and cityscapes. But it’s also because it reminds me of how, when we’d visit “the city” - i.e. New York City - when I was young, my eyes would be drawn upwards as soon as I stepped out of Penn Station. Say what you will about the Lotte Tower, but it definitely makes you look up!
Gimbap Ssam, Butter Rice and Soy Braised Beef, and some seriously good fried vegetables at the newly opened Samcheong-dong branch of Namdo Bunsik, a Seochon eatery serving Jeollado-style comfort food. Hella good.
