— ❀     At the girls compliment the frown that had been traced over Korrina’s features blossomed into a bright smile.   ❛—— There may quite a bit of sugar in the drink. ❜   She admitted sheepishly. After hours spent in the gym with Sara she thought it was only fair to admit to her bad habit of sugary drinks.   ❛ But I promise it’s delicious. ❜

Another bout of gratitude poured off her lips as Diana took a long sip of the warm beverage, humming in satisfaction. “Yeah, of course.” Using her foot, she pushed out the legs of the empty chair in front of her and gestured for Korrina to help herself. “I could use the company to be honest.”

— ❀   Brown eyes drifted over to the empty seat within a few moments Korrina claimed the chair as a smile creeped onto her features.   ❛ So could I. ❜   She replied, her eyes full of empathy. ❛ I just got out of a three hour lecture. How was your day? ❜

Andy looked at the girl, confused for a moment while she stared at him. Then, she spoke, and the confusion melted from his face and turned into more of a surprised look. “ Oh, sure, ” he replied, “ I love chai lattes. ”

Now I don’t have to feel guilty over throwing out an overpriced tea. ❜   Her eyes looked down to her own drink.   ❛ I think that’s the one downside when it comes to the states. No Tim Hortons. ❜

Besides, he was about to go order a new drink anyway. “Well – I’m British, does that give an answer to your question?” Jacob chuckled, referring to the fact that people in Great Britain sure loved their tea. If you asked him, it wasn’t solely a stereotype. “It already smells so delicious!” he commented, reaching out to take over one of the chai lattes. “I’ll pay you back, promise.”

Though, if she were speaking in truth the grin was primarily caused by the joke she was already thinking of in her head.   ❛ No need to pay me back. I’m Canadian, so it’s my honour to serve the crown by giving one of their loyal citizens tea. ❜   She laughed at her own quip.  ❛ Really though, don’t worry about it. I had a free drink on my Starbucks card anyhow.  ❜

Diana glanced up from her opened notebook, more then happy to indulge in any excuse to avoid the looming reading assignment. “Oh thanks. I’m more then happy to take one off your hands.” With a grateful smile she accepted the drink and took a small sip.

— ❀     Without any hesitations Korrina slid the cup of tea over to her fellow sister, her eyes wandering over the girls notebook.  ❛ Studying? ❜   She asked.  ❛ Could I join you maybe? I have a huge test coming up and there’s basically no seats in the library right now. ❜

Allergic reactions were often met with sympathy, but she could never predict how people would react to other dietary restrictions. After clearing her throat she moved past any hesitations.  ❛ Are you feeling adventurous? Chai lattes are delicious, plus this one is completely free. Free things always taste even better. ❜

“Huh I didn’t say anything about a dog, Korrina?” Dodie felt as confused as ever. She’d merely stared at the bag in curiosity because it’d seemed to keep the other’s attention away from their conversation. But as the bag -or rather something inside- moved again, the blonde’s features got hit by realization. With a wide mouth and raised eyebrows she spoke excitedly, “Oh is it upside down day or something? Because there is a dog in there! Right? You’ve got a dog!”

— ❀     Wide eyes stared as she listened to the girl speak. There was an innocence to Dodie that made one want to protect her, but simultaneously it also made you fearful for her. Through a cough, she chuckled and dipped her head into a nod.    ❛ — It must be. It is a dog. ❜   In a simple gesture Korrina raised her free hand, curving the tips of her fingers in a ‘come here’ motion.  ❛ Here, I’ll show you. ❜  There was slight fear that Dodie may not be able to keep a secret, but Korrina didn’t care too much. She wanted to show her friend.
