you can say so much about nbc hannibal, and people have indeed written long essays about why the relationship between will and hannibal is compelling but what really drives me insane is just how much hannibal wants him. it fills that disgusting void we all think we have. to be picked out of a crowd. looked for. to have someone starving for you. someone who could feed themselves a hundred times over is suddenly refusing any meal except for what you can provide.

they are both so incredibly lonely and so incredibly good at coping with it, until they entered each others lives and ripped all their metaphorical and physical seams open. they were so obsessed with each other that the scar tissue enveloped the cages they put each other in and the cancerous lump that was their love for each other suffocated everyone around them
