A3! Omnibus Event - Omnibus Performances: The Stranger & Nocturnality - Prologue: Omnibus Performances
Banri: I’m done sorting the surveys for this performance. What’s next?
Izumi: Thanks. Can you do these ones next, please?
Banri: You got it.
Tenma: Still, this is a great lot of surveys and questions about our performances.
Tsumugi: I assume both our large-scale streaming and passing the Fleur Award preliminaries had a hand in this.
Sakuya: I’m really grateful for everyone’s interest and feedback!
Manager: That’s definitely true, but… No matter how much we organize, there’s just no end to them~ *Sigh*~
Izumi: We used to organize them as they came in, but I’m pretty sure it got to this point because you started getting lazy somewhere along the way.
Tsumugi: Now, now, we’ll help you go through them too.
Manager: Uuu, you have to be an angel, Tsukioka-kun…
Tenma: … Oh. This one is from someone who’s been watching our performances since our debut.
Banri: And this one here’s from someone who became interested in us after our appearance in an event.
Sakuya: The person who sent in this survey also drew the cast of RomiJuli! I’ll have to show this to everyone later.
Tsumugi: Some people write their thoughts and opinions in incredible detail.
Banri: Woah, this one stings. … But damn, it’s accurate. So accurate it’s almost frustratin’.
Tenma: It just goes to show how closely they’re watching our performances.
Tsumugi: That’s true. Let’s take their comments to heart and use them as reference.
Manager: There’s also lots of positive feedback on the lighting and sounds~!
Sakuya: We’ll have to let Rento-san and Akashi-san know.
Izumi: While I’m glad you’re enjoying yourselves and I understand how you feel, we’ll never see the end of these surveys at this rate.
Tenma: Sorry. We got carried away.
Tsumugi: But still… There’s one thing in particular that’s written in a lot of these surveys.
Sakuya: Do you mean all the ones that say they’d like to see a sequel for performances other than our debuts…?
Tenma: Now that you mention it…
Sakuya: Look, it’s here too…
Banri: The letters are so damn small! Everything’s written so close together that I can’t read a thing! Where am I supposed to look?
Izumi: Uhhh… Oh, there it is. I’m impressed you found that, Sakuya-kun.
Sakuya: Ahaha, it just kinda caught my eye. And the name seemed sort of familiar…
Izumi: “momo”…
Tenma: Isn’t that from Towa!?
Tsumugi: Ahaha, I see.
Tenma: All this passion… You know, it sorta reminds me of Masumi.
Banri: Like fan, like oshi, as they say.
Manager: We’re finally done checking all the inquiries over here~!
Manager: Just like in the surveys, a lot of the inquiries included requests for sequels.
Izumi: Seems like we’ll have to seriously consider making some happen.
Banri: We gained a good bunch of experience from doin’ them too.
Sakuya: That’s true. But what I was most happy about was getting to meet the new Romeo.
Tenma: Lots of the guys have been saying they want to do it again, so why not give it a shot?
Tsumugi: We’d be very welcome to the idea too, of course, but the issue would be our scheduling…
Tenma: True. We’ve got the plans for our new performances too, so adding in sequels would be difficult…
Banri: Then maybe we should do somethin’ of a smaller scale. Like those supporting role spin-offs we did before.
Tsumugi: That sounds good. If it’s something like a new chapter or a side story, then it’ll be easier for Tsuzuru-kun to write and for us to come up with ideas for it.
Tenma: All that’d leave is the creators’ team and our schedules, then.
Sakuya: Speaking of which, you were talking about finalizing everyone’s schedules soon, right?
Sakuya: How about discussing the details in that meeting?
Izumi: (I’m so glad they’re all actively coming up with ideas.)
Izumi: (And the way their eyes are sparkling and they look like they’re having fun is making me excited too…)
Izumi: (There’s only one thing for me to do as their General Director, then!)
Izumi: Alright, let’s let everyone else know too.
-
Izumi: This should be all of you. I’ll explain the format of our new performances now.
Izumi: Due to the strong demand from our audience, we have decided to introduce new chapters for our past performances.
Izumi: Since we’ll be dealing with scheduling restraints due to our upcoming new performances, we’re thinking of an omnibus format where 2 troupes perform one performance each.
Izumi: The contents might be simpler than the sequels’, but I think everyone will enjoy this.
Izumi: We already got the OK from Tsuzuru-kun, Yuki-kun and the rest of the creatives, but what do you guys think?
Citron: It is OK, of course! New chapters are so eggciting!
Muku: I wonder which roles I’ll get to meet again… I’m so happy!
Guy: I believe we will have a lot to learn from performing these new chapters.
Kumon: I’m SO looking forward to this new challenge! This is sorta super exciting!
Masumi: So, have you decided which plays we’ll be doing?
Izumi: We’re thinking of letting each troupe discuss and decide that on their own. First, let me give you the schedules.
Juza: … We’re divided into four sections. First’s Autumn and Winter.
Sakyo: The first ones up are gonna have to do this through trial and error, huh.
Tasuku: That’s true. But even with that tension around us, this really is exciting.
Taichi: Alright! Let’s have our meeting right away!
Azami: Agreed. We gotta decide which play we’ll do first.
Banri: ‘lright, let’s go.
Banri: Tsumugi-san, I’m thinkin’ of using the practice room, where are you guys—
Banri: Huh, they’re gone. When did they even…
Chikage: They just left. They said they’ll hold their meeting in Tsumugi’s room.
Omi: Haha, they’re pretty fired up about this as well.
Banri: About what you’d expect from a group full of theater nerds. We can’t lose to ‘em.
-
Tsumugi: So, let’s talk about which play we’ll perform…
Homare: I would be fine with any of them. I believe all of us feel the same.
Hisoka: Me too. A new chapter for any play would be interesting.
Azuma: It seems we’re in agreement that any play would be fine.
Guy: We all have a special attachment to each and every one of them, after all.
Tsumugi: That’s true. But that’s exactly where our problem comes in…
Tasuku: … I think Nocturnality would be good.
Tsumugi: … Can you tell us why?
Tasuku: Our debut performance marked the beginning of the Winter Troupe.
Tasuku: But during Nocturnality, it felt as though something in us changed… And the Winter Troupe was born again.
Tsumugi: That’s true. If our debut was the start line, then we gained our footing with Mystery, and Nocturnality was our step forward.
Homare: Yes. And perhaps most importantly, it would be a commemoration of our shared destiny.
Hisoka: … Yeah.
Guy: Yes. I think that’s a good idea as well.
Tsumugi: You will be performing a new role once again, Guy-san.
Tsumugi: We can leave the final decision up to you, Azuma-san. What do you think?
Azuma: … I’m in complete agreement too/I completely agree, of course.
Tsumugi: Okay. Then, the Winter Troupe’s New Chapter will be for our third performance, Nocturnality.
-
Taichi: Which play should we do~
Azami: They all seem fun, and we’d gain something from all of ‘em.
Juza: … If we’re gonna return to our roots, how ‘bout The Stranger, since it’s the play after Picaresque?
Sakyo: Nice coincidence. I was thinkin’ the same.
Taichi: HUH! I was just thinking that even though this is a tough choice, it’s gotta be Stranger!
Banri: I hate to agree with Hyodo, but I gotta give it to ‘im and say Stranger’s our best option.
Azami: For real? I was thinking the same thing too.
Omi: … Haha, this is amazing. I was actually thinking that I’d like to do Stranger, too.
Taichi: This is crazy! We really all just agreed on something! Maybe it’ll snow next!
Azami: Jokes aside, this seriously is rare.
Sakyo: Regardless, it’s unusual for you to actually want to take the initiative and be the lead in a performance, Fushimi.
Omi: Haha, you’re right.
Omi: … Well, it’s not like I don’t have my reservations about this.
Juza: …
Banri: Well, anyways, sounds like no one’s got any objections.
Banri: With that decided, I’ll report back to Director-chan that Autumn Troupe will be doin’ our second performance, The Stranger.
I love how expressive hands can be and all that a well-drawn hand can add to an image, but they are not always easy to draw! Of course, for Zutara, it is always worth the effort, yeah? <3
