Like if someone really wants a diagnosis, odds are that they are already struggling a lot and what they really want is an explanation for their struggle which they hope can result in treatment and support. They're not making up a struggle for fun, they are trying to find a way to cope with one.
May we all receive good news in July.
May we all smile more in July.
May we all experience ease in July.
May we all worry less in July.
May we all get good sleep in July.
May we all choose ourselves in July.
is this relatable

Can we fucking talk about how severe a violation of autonomy forced sedation is? Like for all the fear and powerlessness that comes with being locked up, restrained, threatened, etc. I don't think I have ever felt as robbed of my personhood as when a doctor stabbed me with a needle and I felt the fight/flight response that I was experiencing, the feelings of anger and fear at being mistreated and the need to do something about it, just... drain from my body like a handful of sand. Having your emotions altered without your consent and not being able to get them back, like someone is reaching into your skull and touching your fucking brain. Knowing that effectively anything could happen to you and you will not be able to make your brain/nervous system initiate any kind of threat response and you will probably just lie there. How do we consider this humane in the slightest what the fuck even is "medical care" are we just brainwashing people now. I don't think medicine is supposed to make me feel like my soul was just molested (I am well within my rights to throw that word around don't come at me) but idk maybe that's a me thing.
Yes, we can and we should!!! I have only ever been threatened with it, so it's not something I can speak on personally, but forced injections are fundamentally a traumatizing, abusive, violent assault on both body and mind that psychiatrized people are expected to just accept and get over because someone called it "treatment" and I get angry every time I'm reminded how frequently this is done to people in psych wards and similar places.
"Trans people deserve rights and bodily autonomy because they aren't mentally ill-" hey but what if mentally ill people deserve rights and bodily autonomy too have you considered that because you should
Like I so wish outrage about bad treatment in psychiatry was less "how come they could treat someone who wasn't even insane like that?!" and more "it is wrong that this system has the right to treat ANYONE like that, full stop"
World bipolar day and trans day of visibility fall back to back on March 30th and 31st. Iv come a long way. 4 years ago I was actively manic and psychotic and just starting the long journey towards recovery. Both my bipolar and my transness have made me who I am today and without them I would not be as empathetic and understanding as I am. Struggles of any kind can either make you angry and resentful or they can make you gentile and more understanding of others. I am here and thriving today because I refused to let my struggles with my illness and my identity get the better of me. I am stable and healthy and 5 months on HRT today because I refused to let my past pain overshadow my current joy and happiness.
So glad I get to experience homosexual desire. One life and thank god I'm not straight

You deserve a life that feels full, calm, and deeply yours. One that feels spacious and honors your joy. One that feels good to wake up to. One that you want to experience, not escape.
Be intentional with your heart. Be intentional with your words. Be intentional with your thoughts. Be intentional with your time. Be intentional with your energy. Be intentional with your life.
