I've been playing a lot of Pokémon Showdown because my friends have recently gotten into playing it again. They've been playing OU while I've been trying to grind the Random Battle Tier. I'm current at 1405 Elo which is pretty good. I'm probably around 80ish games away from Top 500 (About 1.8k elo). If I get there then I'll probably start playing OU with my friends who are stuck around 1.5k elo.
I'd have some games where I'd get godlike RNG and then the next game I'm get screwed over purely because of them having 3 Ubers which is just dumb. You just can't doing anything about it. One of the games I played I hit Hypnosis 4 times in a row and the other player got really salty. Another time I was setting up my Sigilyph with Cosmic Power and I got crit and Sigilyph fainted and that made me lose the game. Whenever I get good Pokémon the opponent usually forfeits after two Pokémon dying and I never get actually use my good Pokémon when I get them.

I was playing some Pokemon Showdown for fun and I had some interesting moments. I decided to play Random Battles because I couldn't bother copying one of my teams into the browser (I know that sounds weird but the context is that I normally play on my laptop but I was playing on my iPad, plus this is bad English that I can't be bothered to fix).
Anyway my first game was Rapidash vs Kyurem-Black. Kyurem being a legendary and having the type advantage should have easily been able to use Outrage or Dragon Claw to defeat my Rapidash. I was willing to give up my Rapidash so I just used Flare Blitz. To my surprise, he switched into Espeon and I one shot it. I'm thinking to myself, "Lol easy?" He then sends out Mr. Mime. I use another Flare Blitz and Mr Mime also gets one shot. He then forfeits. Easy win.
Another game I'm able to set up a Sigilyph with Cosmic Power and Stored Power. It's really weird because the only way to beat it after it's used Cosmic Power 6 times is to use Roar or Whirlwind or Dragon Tail to get it switched out. I guess Red Card would do the same but it's weird how the way to beat a Pokemon is to not actually damage it (Yes I know Dragon Tail does damage but I'm talking about Roar and Whirlwind and with 4 x Defence and Special Defence, you won't be doing major damage unless you crit).
The last game I'm going to talk about had a Reuniclus. Now Reuniclus is one of my favourite Gen 5 Pokemon. It looks so cute and it's funny how he evolves. But it's the slowest thing ever. It looks so much for faster than 30 Speed. It looks light so it should be able to move faster than that. Basically lost because a floating slime thing is slower than a big bulky armadillo(?) (Was describing Chesnaught). I guess that's Pokelogic for ya. Anyway random post about Pokemon Showdown. You guys should play it if you don't. If you're feeling down, read this and this might make you day. The following story I am about to recount is 100% true and not made up for the fun of it. Anyway... When I was a kid, like 5 years old, I went on a holiday with my family. It was a nice day where the sun was out, but wasn't burning. The weather was just right. My family stopped at a beach lake. My dad was really good at skipping stones, he'd get like 6 skips on average which is pretty good. I had been watching for him a while and as a 5 year old I knew it would be fun to throw rocks. Apparently we were about to head off but my family couldn't find me. I was near the lake throwing rocks. My family sighed in relief. Then I picked up a rock. It must of been really heavy because when I threw the rock, I forgot to let go and the rock basically dragged me into the lake. My family was shocked. My dad came sprinting to get me out of the lake. Since the lake has natural water, the water was freezing. I didn't even have a change of clothes so I had to get dried and for some strange reason borrow my sister's socks. I don't know what happened but I screwed up my release point. That's my funny story. Hope you feel much better now!
A few hours ago I was having a shower and there was an earthquake. Scariest shit ever. Thought I was gonna die naked from the ceiling falling on me. 11/10 timing, could not have been better. Don’t want that to happen again. :(
Part 1 of my Kirby Drawings. So today I was looking through some of my old stuff, I came across these Kirby drawings that I probably drew when I was addicted to the Kirby games. Obviously it's the not the best drawings and colouring but it's not bad for a kid. Hope you enjoy!
Got a Mega Mewtwo Y Box today and pulled 3 Exs from 4 Packs which is REALLY GOOD. I’ve never been this lucky before. Hopefully I get even better pulls with Full Arts and Secret Rares but this is a start. :D
I bought 20 new items on Steam during the Steam Holiday Sale and realised I've played like 5 or 6 games of them... Games were worth $120...... I am a bad person. Sometimes...
So this is one of the few times a drew something worth showing. They're both Monsters from a game called Monster Kingdom which was on iOS. It was shut down last year because the company really failed at keep players active/using money on the game. While the game was active, I got in the Top 200 of all players and there was probably like a million players so that was pretty cool. I met a lot of cool people online because of this game and I still talk to the people who played with me. Crustan was basically my favourite monster, was really good and was Water-Based. I've always loved Water-types in Pokemon, they've always seemed strong to me. Cora was a monster that was really good in the meta of that game. Also it's a unicorn, there's nothing to argue about haha. For comparisons sake, I put up a few originals of the monsters. Hope you like my drawings. :D

I accidently played Lucina for the first time in Super Smash Bros 4 against a Level 9 CPU and managed to win. Thinking it was a fluke I played again. I won... again. I played a third time to make sure that I wasn't lucking out. I win...... again. Time to go pro as Lucina? Lol
This year, there will be some special moments to me. This will be the Pokemon 20th Anniversary and the Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary.
These games have been a part of life for a very long time and I love all their games in their respective series (except Sonic 06, lol). Here’s why I love them so much.
Pokemon was the very first memorable game I ever played. I think the first ever Pokemon game I played was Pokemon Yellow on the Gameboy Colour. I absolutely loved that game cause you started with Pikachu and get all the Starters later on. I then moved on the playing Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green. I’m pretty sure I played Fire Red first and then was like I need to play Leaf Green because you could only catch Staryu in Leaf Green. When I was at the Second Gym I felt like Misty’s Staryu and Starmie were way stronger than all my Pokemon and I was like I have to get a Staryu now. Anyway I remember starting with Squirtle and getting Blastoise and teaching it Surf as I completed the Soul Badge. I went straight to the Power Plant to catch Zapdos and have him on my team. After that I think I played Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald and those had to be my favourite games at that time (now it’s definitely ORAS). I loved Mudkip and I loved Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza. Hoenn is definitely my favourite region by far. Every Pokemon just seems so unique and special to me. When I was a kid, I always had the strat to go catch Rayquaza before the Elite Four (This is Emerald). Rayquaza was level 70 while all my Pokemon were like 50-60 so i just used my Master Ball to catch it lol. The Elite Four was basically a breeze cause Rayquaza would always clean up with Outrage (Except for Glacia and her Ice Pokemon). I think I then played the two original Pokemon Games Red and Blue. I went over to America to visit my cousins and he had 2 Gameboy Colours and like every single Gameboy Colour Pokemon game like Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal. I remember playing Blue the most and he taught me this glitch to catch any Pokemon in the wild and we encountered Missingno waaay to many times lol. After those fun times, I played Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Not sure why, but I played Pokemon Pearl even though I liked Dialga a lot more than Palkia. Before Platinum came out, my DS was actually stolen by a black person (no joke, not trying to be racist or anything). I left my DS in my mums swimming bag and it was stolen. Everything was caught on camera and we found out that she had already sold the items in the bag including my DS and all of my previous games. I was really sad at the time, I basically lost all my childhood because of some selfish person. Luckily, Christmas was near and for Christmas, I got a new DS lite. Then I played every other game on DS: Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black and White, Black 2 and White 2 before getting a 3DS for XY and Omega Ruby. There’s soo much I could write about for Pokemon but I can’t express enough that Pokemon has been a part of my life forever.
While playing the mainstream Pokemon games, I also played the spin off games. The first ones I played were Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Blue Rescue Team and Pokemon Ranger. I probably enjoyed Mystery Dungeon more because I just loved the story and how the game was played. Pokemon Ranger was still fun and I played all the games in the series which are Shadows of Almia and Guardian Signs. I think a bit before this I played Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon Channel and Gamecube. I thought the Shadow Pokemon thing was pretty unique and raising a Pikachu was pretty fun haha. I never got to play Gales of Darkness, but I have watched gameplay of it. I thought Pikachu in Super Smash Bros Melee was really cool as well. Even though Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is probably the favourite spin-off, I haven’t played Gates to Infinity or Super Mystery Dungeon yet. The only reason that I haven’t played Super Mystery Dungeon yet is because it’s not out in New Zealand. I’ve managed to keep myself from looking up any stuff from it so that I can play the game with no spoilers.
After realising there was a community about playing Pokemon competitively, I just had to get informed. I was always looking up stuff on Smogon and playing on Pokemon Showdown to show how good I was. As soon as XY was released, I made a run to the top on the XY Ubers tier. I managed to get in Top 100 at 72nd Place which was pretty cool. I also got Top 100 in Gen 5 OU when Rain Teams were like OP. What was funny about getting 72nd place was I versed my friend who was in the Top 100 as well and I versed him like 3 times and beat him all 3 times. I basically kicked him out of Top 100 because he lost so much elo. I haven’t really been climbing the ladders on Pokemon Showdown lately but I still play the occasional Random Battle for fun.
As you can see, I have a lot of Pokemon Background and I just love talking about it. I recently cleaned up my room and made my room kinda dedicated to Pokemon haha. It’s quite cool to be honest. I honestly can’t wait for Pokemon Go to come out. I’m probably gonna miss out on Pokken Tournament because I don’t own a Wii U but I know a friend who is going to get it so I still might be able to play the game.
Enough about Pokemon now. Let’s talk Blue Blur.
Sonic never really came around to me early. The first game I played was Sonic Adventure DX on the Gamecube. I never played the 2D games until I looked up Sonic on the internet. Sonic Adventure was really cool for me as a kid because I found it really cool how all the story of all the characters were intertwined to each other. I never got Adventure 2 because our Gamecube was American and we had bought a bunch of games in America before coming back to New Zealand which meant that we couldn’t get any more games for our Gamecube. We had like around 10 games so I was never really fussed about it. I actually remember being really trash at Sonic Adventure. I think I got stuck at Twinkle Park as Sonic and I stopped playing ahhaha. I was pretty absent from Sonic for a long time mainly because I never had a PS3 or Xbox 360 to play the more HD games like Sonic 06 or Sonic Unleashed. I ended up getting a Wii and playing Sonic Colours and I just loved the the theme song ‘Reach for the Stars’. I think after that I realised all the music of Sonic is actual on point. There’s never a Sonic Soundtrack that has been bad. I found Sonic Colours pretty fun and then I was probably back to playing Pokemon haha. I think I started getting really interested into Sonic again because of the Sonic Boom TV Show no joke. The jokes were like bad that they were funny and the characters seemed kinda more realistic except for Knuckles (He’s like waaay too dumb). Not the biggest fan on Sticks but I think she’s still a nice character. Anyway that got me searching all of the Sonic Games and i found Sonic Generations a few years late. I bought it on Steam and I played it and my God it was brilliant. Since the game basically was remakes of levels, it was definitely short. That doesn’t mean it was bad, just it could of been longer. Basically completed the game in a day. I basically watched all the Sonic Boom Episodes on time and thought it was a really cool series and I’m excited for Season 2. Recently during the Steam Holiday Sale, I picked up Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 with Battle DLC and Sonic Lost World. I’ve only played Sonic Adventure so far but I managed to complete Sonic’s Story (which means I got passed Twinkle Park haha). I really love the Sonic games, even though they haven’t received the best reviews from people.
Although I haven’t played a lot of the games for Sonic, there’s still a lot of nostalgia I get from playing the games with him in them. I love to play Sonic in Super Smash Bros for 3DS and I’m considering getting the Genesis Classics on 3DS even though I’ve played them on emulators. I think I’ve got zero merchandise for Sonic except for the Sonic Amiibo but that doesn’t really show too much. It just means I used all that money on buying Pokemon stuff haha. It doesn’t mean I’m not looking forward to the new games for Sonic.
Basically I’m really looking forward to this Anniversary. Nintendo has already announced what they are doing for the 20th (Except for announcing their new mainstream game lol) and Sega has only revealed their 3D Collection so it’ll be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming months.
