Thought I'd show off my new mask, Dawn 5.0. Since I've barely touched this app.

This started from a plain cat mask base, then I added a lot of paint, felt, and card. She has a moving jaw (attached with elastic at either side hidden under the hair), and she also has a poseable tongue and eyelid.

Her first appearance will be at fandom con this weekend (a local con).

Introducing Dawn 4.0. Another one of my silly little handmade mask things. Except this time I'm kinda obsessed with it.

It's just foam sheets and felt, plus white card, paint and some funky mesh material. Dirt cheap.

This was the first poem to kick off my interest in writing poetry. I've wrote poems before but they were all childhood school projects and nothing really that meaningful.

This one was done for a small uni assignment but that time round I really enjoyed writing it. I play drums and I struggle sometimes with rolls (I'm kinda still a beginner). I've never seen a poem about drums before so... here we are.

Roll

The battering, the clattering,

The shiny gold discs shattering,

Like a heart about to burst.

Aroma of tingly metal,

I thump at the stiff bass pedal –

But freeze and hover the sticks.

I inhale, then batter again,

Three each, the snare and mounted toms,

I exhale, my grin lifts.

Hayden

I buzz when your head Bobbles,

And when your paws click against my shelf.

Although you have a scuffed black nose,

And some wear on your paint,

I still hold your smooth plastic and caress

The coloured marking on your face,

And your tuft of orange hair that swirls.

You Bobble and I’ll always remember,

Your purple eyes and puppy tail.

And floppy ears longer than your head.

You’re so Little, you fit in my palm,

I can squeeze you in my pocket,

And you give me a spring in my step when I do.

You’re the Littlest in my Shop.

My most cherished Pet. My Buddy.

Some threw you out, some shipped you away,

But I can’t seem to stop myself,

From buying more of your kind,

Even if I’m grown.

I kept you nearby,

You were my hug in disguise,

And you bring colour to my life.

Hello tumblr.

This is my first post so I might as well introduce myself. I go by Karmen and use any pronouns. Idk how active I'll be on here but we'll see how it goes. Currently my main platform is Instagram but it's horrible for artists/writers now. All of my other socials are linked to my carrd which is on my profile.

Anyway, I make furry art and I write a lot. I came here with the intention to share poetry and general writing but I'll probably put my art or photography here too. I'm also a drummer and love bands a lot so I yap about that a lot.

I'm also a collector so I may float around a few different communities. I've got almost 900 lps currently since I've been collecting them my whole life. I've also got a lot of care bears and zhu zhu pets.

I don't really know what to share just yet but here's some of my recent art with my fursona Dawn and her partner Crimson, plus my newest sona Snare.
